You Follow Me
“The words of your spiritual father are Mine. Receive them with the greatest veneration and follow them in holy obedience.” (Jesus) (January 14, 1963)
Today’s Readings: When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?” Jesus said to him, “What if I want him to remain until I come? What concern is it of yours? You follow me.” (John 21)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, You know that sometimes obedience to our vocation and state of life can be hard. We look around at others- Lord, what about them? Why do I have to work so hard, suffer this thing, have this pain or illness- we always think the grass is greener and we can even envy the blessings of others. But Lord, You have asked us to follow You- we all have our own journey to walk and path of sanctification that You have designed for us alone. Let us follow You and Your Church in holy obedience with faith that all things come together for good for those who love You!
