Queen and Mother of America, Make me your torchbearer. Amen.
On the Fourth of July, we commemorate a declaration of independence that changed the course of history. But today, as our nation faces profound moral and spiritual challenges, we’re invited to a deeper revolution—not one of politics or arms, but of hearts. We’re called to a spiritual independence: freedom from sin, darkness, and the influence of Satan. And in this battle, Heaven has not left us unarmed. Heaven has given us a Flame—a Flame of Love.
This Flame is not a metaphor. It is a living FIRE, entrusted to Mother of All Humanity, and Her Immaculate Heart. Through the messages given to Elizabeth Kindelmann, Mary reveals a mission of mercy and hope: to blind Satan, to save souls, and to set the world on fire with Divine Love. In her words, “Help Me Save the Country” is not a slogan—it is a heavenly plea.
Mary’s Flame of Love with it’s gentle light is igniting across the land, calling to America—not in judgment, but in longing. She sees not just what we are, but what we could become: a nation ablaze with holiness, purity, and prayer.
She has come to us under the title Our Lady of America from 1956-1958, inviting us to lead the world in spiritual renewal through purity, penance, and love. In her apparitions to Sister Mary Ephrem, St. Michael appeared carrying a flaming torch and declared, “Only those who are strong in love can become my soldiers… bear aloft not the sword of destruction, but the sword of fire—the flaming torch of Divine Charity.”
This same image appears at Fatima in 1917, where an angel with a flaming sword threatens to set the world aflame—yet the fire is extinguished by the radiance of Our Lady. Her Light is stronger.
Mary gives Elizabeth Kindelmann, on April 13, 1962 a message which ignites the FLAME OF LOVE, she says, “My little Carmelite, so many sins are committed in this country [Hungary]. Help me. Let us save the country. I place a beam of light in your hands; it is the Flame of Love of my heart. Add your love to this Flame and pass it on to others, my little one.”
The Flame of Love is not a devotion—it is a movement, a mission, and a calling. It’s about more than personal prayer; it’s about national renewal. Mary is gathering us, Her torchbearers: men, women, children, priests, students, mothers, grandfathers— we are ordinary people carrying an extraordinary fire. LOVE is the FIRE and it’s transforming because it is Jesus Himself, the Flame of Love!
Two years ago on July 4th, I was entrusted—alongside my husband Ken—with the role of National Coordinator for the Flame of Love in the United States. Since then, we have witnessed a groundswell of grace. Cenacles multiplying! Hearts catching fire! Families transformed (our own included)! Miracles of the Heart, as our Lady promises.
As Americans light fireworks and wave flags this Fourth of July, we celebrate a greater freedom—the one Christ won for us on the Cross. We recall that true liberty is found in surrender to God’s will and taking on the Divine Life. Mary’s call and “Cause” is to carry her Flame, to ignite the Church, and to set America ablaze with divine love.
To be a torchbearer is to say “yes”—to receive her Flame into your heart and carry it faithfully into the places God has put you. It’s the mother who leads her children in the Rosary. The priest who preaches with fire. The young adult who welcomes Mary’s pilgrim statue into their apartment. The prisoner who clings to hope through the Flame of Love prayers. This is how revival begins—heart by heart, home by home.
Mary is not waiting for perfect people (Lord knows, look at me!) She is waiting for willing hearts. And she is asking one simple question: Will you carry My Flame—for the salvation of souls, for the renewal of families, and for the future of America? Let’s make America PURE again, through Mary’s Immaculate Heart!
May God bless and protect the United States of America and every family in it! Special thanks to those of you who serve in the Military and Armed forces!

PS – Fascinating… On July 4, 1941, five months before the United States entered World War II, then-Msgr. Fulton Sheen published A Declaration of Dependence to stir America’s soul into realizing what its independence entailed and to warn Americans what they must do to keep it.
“We are living in such a period of history now — the sad hour wherein we are gathering the bitter fruits of our apostasy from God. Wars from without; class hatreds, bigotry, antiSemitism, anti-Catholicism, atheism, and immoralities from within — are the harvest of our godlessness. | know that there are many who profess belief in God, but they do not act on that belief. What recognition is given to the moral law in politics, economics, or education? How many Americans who say they believe in God went to their church or to their synagogue last Sunday or Sabbath? Do we forget that the evil fruits which St. Paul told the Romans would ripen on the tree of their godlessness are now ripening on the tree of America’s godlessness?”
