The Sixth Day In The Octave of Christmas
Those Who Pray Night and Day
Jesus: “My little daughter, you must love Me night and day.” One time, I asked Him to allow me to feel His glorious and majestic presence. He said:
Jesus: “My little one, do not ask this for yourself. I give it to those for whom you have made a sacrifice or have offered prayers.” (Jesus/Elizabeth 1961-1962)
Today’s Readings: She never left the temple,
but worshiped night and day with fasting and prayer.
And coming forward at that very time,
she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child
to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem. (Luke 2)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we contemplate the poor widow, Anna, who dedicated her life to fasting and prayer. Lord today, though hidden, we have many Annas- women and men of prayer who pray for their children and grandchildren and offer their little sacrifices for the love of You and for salvation of souls. Lord, help us who pray not to become discouraged but wait patiently like Anna who awaited the redemption of Jerusalem. Lord we await the restoration of all things in You- come Holy Spirit! Come by the means of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!
