Pour Out Your New Wine Lord Into Our Souls
“My adorable Jesus, what are You doing with such an unworthy person?” With an
inspiration as soft as a sigh, He poured out in my heart the feeling that, at
that moment, in a direct soaring, He was drawing my soul to the infinite love
of His Divine Being. (Elizabeth) (February 13, 1963)
Today’s Readings:
Likewise, no one pours new wine into old wineskins .Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be ruined. Rather, new wine must be poured into fresh wineskins. And no one who has been drinking old wine desires new, for he says, ‘The old is good.’” (Luke 5)
Prayer Meditation: O Lord, You tell us that new wine must be poured into fresh wineskins. The wineskins of our souls become fresh by repentance and when we have humble and contrite hearts! Lord help us desire this new wine to be poured into our souls as unworthy as we are! Help us not to keep desiring the same old same old which is getting us nowhere as we keep wandering in the desert of our human wills but to truly desire the ”new thing” (Isaiah 43:19) You want to spring forth, the wine of The Spirit. Lord make a way in the wilderness of our souls to the Living Water only You can give!
