Pity For The Crowd

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the First Week of Advent

Pity For The Crowd

“How good of You to come! Truly, You do not despise me. Because I am a sinner, You double Your strength in me. What goodness, what limitless compassion You have for a repentant sinner.” For a long time, I gave thanks for His infinite mercy. (Elizabeth) (November 22, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Jesus summoned his disciples and said,
“My heart is moved with pity for the crowd,
for they have been with me now for three days
and have nothing to eat.
I do not want to send them away hungry,
for fear they may collapse on the way.” (Matthew 15)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we are reminded that You indeed have pity on us. There is nothing that escapes Your Loving Gaze into our hearts. There is no need that You do not understand and want to fill. You have true loving concern for us in every moment of our lives! What goodness, what limitless compassion You have for those who love You and what mercy is awaiting those who do not yet know Your Love! Lord Jesus, be born in our hearts this Advent season and in the hearts of those we love and bring to You every day in prayer!
