Only Say The Word
I beg you, carve this in your mind: the Word of God is always the same… Through it, I seek the salvation of souls.(Jesus) (April 9,1964)
Today’s Readings: “Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof;
only say the word and my servant will be healed.
For I too am a man subject to authority,
with soldiers subject to me.
And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes;
and to another, ‘Come here,’ and he comes;
and to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to
those following him,
“Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel have I
found such faith. (Matthew 8)
Prayer Meditation- Lord ,we thank You and praise You and adore You for the beautiful healings in today’s Gospel because surely You have taken away our infirmities and borne our diseases. (Matthew 8). Today we see the faith of the Centurion who asks You to “only say the Word” and his servant would be healed. These are the words we say before we receive You in Holy Communion where You heal us and change us little by little every day if we are disposed to receive You. Let us carve this in our minds, Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8) because You seek our ultimate healing, the salvation of our souls and the souls of those who are close to us!
