Lighting The Lamps of Souls
This oil will fall on empty lamps and the Flame will be lit. It will even fall on souls that have no lamp (those without the light of true faith) and they will find the road to salvation.” (Mary) (Diary Page 59)
Today’s Readings:
You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5)
Prayer Meditation: O Lord so many lamps are empty or flickering today- so many are without the light of faith! And yet we too, called to be light in the world, will so often hide our lamps under a bushel. We are called to be witnesses to Your Love in the world- we can’t always do it with words but we can with deeds and prayers- acts of mercy! To keep our lamps lit, we need You, otherwise, we can flicker out pretty quickly. Lord fill us with Your Light so we can be light for all families and for the world. Lord light our lamps with the Flame of Love so it can spread like wildfire from soul to soul for Your Glory Lord!
