Just A Grain of Wheat

Just A Grain of Wheat

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Fifth Sunday of Lent- St. Patrick’s Day

Just a Grain of Wheat

Conscious of my misery and my nothingness, I always think of what I can give You. Lord, my Jesus, I once more give You my sins again and again, and the monotonous flow of tears from my heart imbued with graces. Please listen to me. This is the music of my heart and the only gift I can offer. I know that this is also a gift from You and I thank You a million times. In every beat of my heart there is repentance. My Lord, my Jesus, it is very little because my heart sometimes misses a beat. Therefore, I ask You that in each grain of dust that You have created, I can place sorrow for my sins. In this way, the wind can take them to You and You can see how much I love You. This is my hymn, my poem and my music. This is all that I can give. Accept me as I am.”

Today’s Readings: “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
Amen, amen, I say to you,
unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies,
it remains just a grain of wheat;
but if it dies, it produces much fruit.
Whoever loves his life loses it,
and whoever hates his life in this world
will preserve it for eternal life.
Whoever serves me must follow me,
and where I am, there also will my servant be. (John 12)

Prayer Meditation- Lord as we enter into the homestretch of Lent, what was known in the old Church Calendar as Passion Sunday, the beginning of Passiontide, two weeks before Easter. As the readings become more somber we realize that soon and very soon You will be entering Jerusalem and giving Your Life for me and for all. And we wonder what we can possibly give You for the Love that never gives up on us and never lets us go! And all we have is our misery and our sins, anything good in us comes from You, and yet if we repent and turn to You it is indeed music to Your Ears. So let us place our sorrow for our sins on every grain of dust created by You placing our I Love You on every breath of wind that carries them to You. Accept us as we are, just little grains of wheat ready to die to ourselves to produce Your fruit in us that we would follow You every step of the way these next two weeks and love You in the name of everyone past, present and future for Your Glory and the good of all!
