Jesus of Nazareth is Passing By
“In
spite of your great infidelity, I call to you with love. You no longer come
with confidence. I redeemed you from eternal death. Now, you do not want to
live with Me. You are content with the passing things of the earth.” (Jesus) (October
11, 1962)
Today’s
Readings: They told him,
“Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”
He shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!” (Luke 18)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, in today’s Gospel we read that You are passing by. In fact, You are always among us, You are indeed always “passing by”. Lord what is our response? Do we cry out. Lord Jesus, have mercy on me with bold and confident trust, fully understanding our own helplessness. Or do we remain content with the passing things of this world. Yes, Jesus, have mercy on me a sinner- I want what You want for me today and every day!
