Has Our Love Grown Cold?

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Twenty Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Has Our Love Grown Cold?

“If your love decreases, turn to our heavenly Mother and she will fill your heart with abundant love for Me. Draw close to My Mother, she will help you.” (Jesus) (March 4-March 7, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Wrath and anger are hateful things, yet the sinner hugs them tight. The vengeful will suffer the LORD’s vengeance, for he remembers their sins in detail. (Sirach 27)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we so often struggle with anger and unforgiveness. We hold on tight to our resentments, how easily we can become offended in these days and times that we live in. We cannot see You in other people- we only see ourselves. Yet Lord if we live by the sword, we will die by the sword (Matthew 26:52). Forgiveness is not easy but to imitate You, it must be without limit- 7 x 70 times! (Matthew 18). We must forgive each other from our hearts because You have already paid a debt for us that we cannot possibly pay! So Lord let us not be stingy with our love and mercy for another- if our love grows cold let us draw close to Our Heavenly Mother who will always intercede for us so that the wine of grace will keep flowing in our hearts (John 2).
