Hanging
On His Words
I was hanging on His words. It is as if I were
barely able to put them in any order in my thoughts. When He mentioned my
person and spoke of my work as something important, destined to complement the
work of the Holy Father, doubts emerged in my soul. (Elizabeth) (February 29,

Today’s Readings: The chief priests, the
scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile, were seeking to put him to
death, but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose because all the
people were hanging on his words.(Luke 19)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, You speak to us all the time through Your Word, through prayer, and through the Liturgy but are we listening? Are we hanging on Your Words, or are we deaf to them like those leaders whose hearts were so hardened to You? Do we even seek to put those Words to death so to speak by avoiding those things You might say that would overturn those things in our life that just don’t belong in the temple of the Holy Spirit that You want us to be? Lord soften our hearts so we can hear and hang on those loving Words of Yours daily.
