THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS (Mt 11:25-30)
Prayer:
O Jesus, help me to know the mysteries of the Kingdom.

Context:.
Jesus has just reproached those towns that did not repent. Now, he looks at his disciples and sees that they have been faithful and that the Father has revealed the Kingdom to them.
Gospel text: (Read slowly, possibly aloud)
Jesus cried out, ‘I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and prudent, you have revealed them to the little ones. This has seemed good in your sight.
All things have been given over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son, but the Father. And no one knows the Father, except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.
Thoughts: (Read all. Ponder the ones that attract you.)
- Jesus rejoices. He sees that the disciples are understanding the Kingdom.
- He credits his heavenly Father, who has revealed these mysteries to the little ones.
- The Father, himself, made this decision.
- The worldly wise and the prudent are excluded from the Father’s gift.
- Jesus Himself has the power to reveal even the Father himself.
- Jesus chooses only “the little ones” to see these mysteries.
Affections. (When one touches your heart, use your own words.)
- Father, reveal to me the mysteries of the Kingdom.
- I will treasure them and live by them.
- O Father, my heart will be caught up with Jesus.
- O Jesus, reveal the Father to me.
- You will rejoice in me and I will be the first fruits of your work.
- When I was wise and prudent, you could not do this. Now, I am your little one.
- O Jesus, all that is yours is to become mine. What a mystery!

+ I will find time for solitude, so Jesus can reveal the Father.
+ I will cherish my life with Jesus and the Father.
