Go To Joseph

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Solemnity of St. Joseph

Go to Joseph

Your most worthy patron is Saint Joseph. Do not forget him, invoke him every day. He will gladly help making our Cause a success. (Jesus) (April 10, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Joseph, son of David,
do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home.
For it is through the Holy Spirit
that this child has been conceived in her.
She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus,
because he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, help us today, in this time of world crisis and fear, to go to St. Joseph, protector of the Holy Family and terror of demons with faith and trust that through his intercession and through the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary You will act. Fiat!

Sin No More

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Fifth Week of Lent

Sin No More

Then, as I raise you, the sin falls away instantly and you become lighter again. Gratitude is all I want in return. Tell Me just one word: ‘Thanks.’ (Jesus) (August 7, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you.
Go, and from now on do not sin anymore.” (John 8)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we, like the woman caught in serious sin and those who accused her, are all sinners. None of us could pass the test of being without sin. How easily we condemn others. Lord, You have raised all of us out of sin and death- do we reflect on this and do we thank You? Do we do our part and strive to stay not only out of serious sins but even venial sins, those little foxes that spoil the vine (Luke 13:32). Lord, we are all weak and full of faults but help us to sin no more and when we fall to turn to You in humble trust.

Just A Grain of Wheat

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Fifth Sunday of Lent- St. Patrick’s Day

Just a Grain of Wheat

Conscious of my misery and my nothingness, I always think of what I can give You. Lord, my Jesus, I once more give You my sins again and again, and the monotonous flow of tears from my heart imbued with graces. Please listen to me. This is the music of my heart and the only gift I can offer. I know that this is also a gift from You and I thank You a million times. In every beat of my heart there is repentance. My Lord, my Jesus, it is very little because my heart sometimes misses a beat. Therefore, I ask You that in each grain of dust that You have created, I can place sorrow for my sins. In this way, the wind can take them to You and You can see how much I love You. This is my hymn, my poem and my music. This is all that I can give. Accept me as I am.”

Today’s Readings: “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
Amen, amen, I say to you,
unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies,
it remains just a grain of wheat;
but if it dies, it produces much fruit.
Whoever loves his life loses it,
and whoever hates his life in this world
will preserve it for eternal life.
Whoever serves me must follow me,
and where I am, there also will my servant be. (John 12)

Prayer Meditation- Lord as we enter into the homestretch of Lent, what was known in the old Church Calendar as Passion Sunday, the beginning of Passiontide, two weeks before Easter. As the readings become more somber we realize that soon and very soon You will be entering Jerusalem and giving Your Life for me and for all. And we wonder what we can possibly give You for the Love that never gives up on us and never lets us go! And all we have is our misery and our sins, anything good in us comes from You, and yet if we repent and turn to You it is indeed music to Your Ears. So let us place our sorrow for our sins on every grain of dust created by You placing our I Love You on every breath of wind that carries them to You. Accept us as we are, just little grains of wheat ready to die to ourselves to produce Your fruit in us that we would follow You every step of the way these next two weeks and love You in the name of everyone past, present and future for Your Glory and the good of all!

Torn To Pieces

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of the Fourth Week of Lent

Torn to Pieces

I have never used this word until now, but I must write that the torture of these sufferings ripped open my heart. (Elizabeth) (June 5, 1965)

Today’s Readings: O LORD, my God, in you I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and rescue me, Lest I become like the lion’s prey, to be torn to pieces, with no one to rescue me. (Psalm 7)

Prayer Meditation- Lord sometimes we can feel so hemmed in- like there is no escape from our troubles and problems- we feel like the lion’s prey. Like Elizabeth, we can feel abandoned and as if our heart has been torn to pieces. I know many of us praying now are dealing with illness, family strife, death of loved ones, depression, and the stresses of daily life. It seems there is no rescue and that we are torn to pieces. But Lord, it is in You that we find our refuge. And we are comforted knowing that You experienced all of this and that the rejection of those You came to save tears at Your Heart! Lord help us pray the Psalms with Your Lips and Your Heart because it is only You who are our Refuge and in You, we renew our strength like eagles (Isaiah 40)

Close To The Brokenhearted

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday of the Fourth Week of Lent

Close To The Brokenhearted

That is why I stay close to you now. I do not disturb your rest. I am here with you in silence. May our hearts beat to the same rhythm. (Jesus) (January 19, 1964)

Today’s Readings:

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves. Many are the troubles of the just man, but out of them all the LORD delivers him. (Psalm 34)

Prayer Meditation- O my Jesus, I know that You know every sorrow of our broken hearts- You stay close to us in silence. You have walked this suffering and you never leave us or forsake us. Lord You are as close as our next breath, even closer, please breathe in our breathing may Your Heart beat with ours as You accompany us and deliver us in whatever troubles we may be going through.
