If We Are The Body

Divine Mercy Sunday

If We Are The Body (ABC’s)

Jesus said, “All of you have been called to My work of salvation, fathers and mothers, learned and ignorant, the well and the sick. All can work for Me, the free man and the one suffering in prison. What is important is the availability of the soul and the spiritual freedom which constitutes the culture of the soul.” (Jesus) (May 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Yet more than ever, believers in the Lord, great numbers of men and women, were added to them. Thus they even carried the sick out into the streets and laid them on cots and mats so that when Peter came by, at least his shadow might fall on one or another of them. A large number of people from the towns in the vicinity of Jerusalem also gathered, bringing the sick and those disturbed by unclean spirits, and they were all cured.(Acts 5)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, sometimes we can wonder as we read the Acts of the Apostles, why does it seem that the Church is not healing and not converting? There is a Casting Crowns song, if we are the body, why aren’t His Arms reaching, why aren’t His Hands healing, why aren’t His Words teaching? The answer Lord is found in the ABC’s of Divine Mercy and we can begin today- Ask for mercy, Be merciful, Completely trust in Your Divine Mercy! Lord if even a few of us, no matter our state of life, lived the ABC’s in deeds as we are able, words, and prayer the Gospel will indeed be reaching, healing and teaching through us!

Saturday of the Octave of Easter

Until The Whole World Hears

“With this Flame full of graces that I give you from my heart, ignite all the hearts in the entire country. Let this Flame go from heart to heart. This is the miracle becoming the blaze whose dazzling light will blind Satan. This is the fire of love of union which I obtained from the heavenly Father through the merits of the wounds of my Divine Son.” (Mary) (April 13, 1962)

Today’s Readings:

He said to them, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You have commissioned us to go out and preach the Gospel to every creature. In this time of present darkness, You have given us even more abundant grace through the Flame of Love Devotion- may the Flame in our hearts become a fire so that every heart will be open to receiving Your Divine Mercy which is the heart of the Gospel! Come Lord Jesus!

It Is The Lord- The God Who Makes Us Breakfast

Today’s Consuming Fire

Scriptures

Friday in the Octave of Easter

It Is The Lord- The God Who Makes Us
Breakfast

Jesus:
“Since the two of us have been so exhausted, let us eat

something hot. “I prepared some hot soup and felt much better. While I was eating, He praised me using few words but much feeling. Jesus: “Is it not true that we now have both gained new strength? I also suffer with you. Could you imagine that I would leave you alone? No! I would never do that. Our souls are always in harmony.” (Jesus) (February 13, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to them, “Children, have you caught anything to eat?”
They answered him, “No.”
So he said to them, “Cast the net over the right side of the boat
and you will find something.”
So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in
because of the number of fish.
So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord.” (John 21)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we read about another encounter with You, the Risen Lord. The Apostles have gone fishing because it seems they really do not know what else to do. Sometimes is hard to know where we go next Lord when we decide to follow You and have seen Your Glory. And trying to do it all our own way is just exhausting! And yet Lord, You meet us where we are as You see us out there just spinning our wheels. And you don’t criticize us but You come quickly with Your abundance and You care about every single detail of our lives, yes even down to what we will eat and what we will drink (Matthew 6). We are feeling confused, lost, empty, and exhausted but we can shout with confidence “It is the Lord!” know that you bring life and life abundant! (John 10)

Why Are You Troubled?

Today’s Consuming Fire
Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s
Scriptures

Thursday of the Octave of Easter

Why Are You Troubled?

I see that you are dwelling on these thoughts, so I will answer your inner questions. Obviously, I do not call everyone in the same manner. I expect more from the one who has received more. But this is not the most important thing for you. The essential is to make sacrifices on behalf of those you want to lead along My road.” (Jesus) (March 11, 1964)

Today’s Readings: “Peace be with you.”
But they were startled and terrified
and thought that they were seeing a ghost.
Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled?
And why do questions arise in your hearts?
Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself.
Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones
as you can see I have.”

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we see You in the upper room with the Apostles after You have risen. They have no idea what to expect and they feel all of their brokenness and weakness. What will You say- what will You do? Lord we can be startled and terrified in the presence of Your Majesty. But You are not mad us- You are not out to get us! So why are we troubled and why do we question You with such lack of trust in You- the God who bore our infirmities and nailed them to the Cross? Lord, You told St. Faustina that our sins do not wound You as much as our lack of trust does. Jesus, we trust in You and we surrender to You- let us bring all our questions to the throne of Grace!

Were Not Our Hearts Burning Within Us?

Today’s
Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up
with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday
of the Octave of Easter

Were
Not Our Hearts Burning Within Us

What would I not give to you? Ask! Just ask! I will make up royally for your lunch. I offer the stream of My Heart’s love to all who discover My hand asking for help. (He confided so much about what concerned me.) Now I fill your heart with the feeling of My Divinity. Oh, that we might gather together as much as possible. (Jesus) (October 18, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Were not our hearts burning within us while He
spoke on the way and opened the Scriptures to us? (Luke 24)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord as we walk the road with You may You come along beside us and open the Scriptures to us! May You open our hearts to Your Word and may we always recognize You in the breaking of the bread! O Lord our hearts burn within us with the fire of Your Love!

Why Are We Weeping

Today’s Consuming Fire
Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s
Scriptures

Tuesday
of the Octave of Easter

Why
Are We Weeping

“It seems to Me that you have forgotten that I already pronounced these words when I was carrying My Cross, and the holy women were weeping for Me more than for their own sins. Again, I ask pious souls to repent. Repent on behalf of others as well.” (Jesus) (November 10, 1964)

Today’s
Readings: Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?
Whom are you looking for?”
She thought it was the gardener and said to him,
“Sir, if you carried him away,
tell me where you laid him,
and I will take him.”
Jesus said to her, “Mary!”
She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,” (John 20)

Prayer Meditation- Lord it is easy in these times to feel a bit like Mary Magdalene. Deprived of public Masses and Sacraments still in some areas, we weep and we wonder where You have gone and why have You been taken away! In truth, a lot of this weeping can become a real pity party if we let it. Like the Magdalene, we do not recognize You even though You have never left us and if we listen closely enough, we will be able to hear You softly call our name. Lord, today, fill us with Your Peace and Your Presence which You never deny to anyone who calls to You in faith and let us turn to You and contemplate You truly alive! Alive in our lives and in our world right now. Jesus may we use these times to grow closer to You, rid us of what does not belong to You, as we offer our prayers for the salvation of souls!

Go Tell

Today’s Consuming Fire
Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s
Scriptures

Monday in the Octave of Easter

Go Tell

Make public all that I tell you now: Make the sign of the Cross five times while thinking of My Sacred Wounds. (Jesus) (April 8, 1962)

Today’s
Readings: Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went away quickly from the tomb,
fearful yet overjoyed,
and ran to announce the news to his disciples.
And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them.
They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage.
Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid.
Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee,
and there they will see me.” (Matthew 28)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we see the Holy Women, and we can marvel at their faithfulness. Rewarded for their faith, they are fearful and overjoyed as they gaze at the empty tomb. And then there You are and You tell them not to be afraid but to go tell the Apostles what they have seen. Lord, even in hard times, we know that You are the Risen Lord who tells us not to be afraid. And you so want us to tell others about the hope that is in us (1 Peter 3:15). That You died for us so that if we repent and believe in our hearts, we can attain salvation, a free gift of Your Amazing Grace! (Romans 10:9). So, Lord, let us run like those faithful women to tell our brothers and sisters the good news of the Gospel- whether it be by word or by our loving actions toward others because He is Risen and He Lives!

Scriptures

Easter Sunday

We Sing Alleluia- Because He Lives

Why do you think that I am far away, in the heights above you?
Really, I am standing right now next to you. (Jesus) (April 7, 1965)

Today’s Readings-

Brothers and sisters: If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Think of what is above, not of what is on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we are Easter people and we sing Alleluia! Let us fix our eyes above on You. the Risen One, who is not distant from us and has never left us or forsaken us but who walks with us every day! Because You Live O Lord- I can face tomorrow!

All Who Are Thirsty- Easter Vigil

Today’s Consuming Fire
Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s
Scriptures

Holy Saturday/Easter Vigil

All Who Are Thirsty

While we were eating our bread, He allowed me to feel His inner emotions and He
breathed His words full of grace into my soul. Jesus said, “May our souls
be in harmony. In this way, our hands will gather in unity. (Elizabeth) (October
18,1962)

Today’s Readings:

Thus, says the LORD: All you who are thirsty, come to the water! You who have no money, come, receive grain and eat; come, without paying and without cost, drink wine and milk! Why spend your money for what is not bread, your wages for what fails to satisfy? (Isaiah 55)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord, only You can fill us with Your Living Water- why do we chase after anything else but Your Daily Bread? Your Presence living in us is all that satisfies- as we review our salvation history at the Easter Vigil let our hearts burn within us for the God who burns with love for us!

Washed By The Blood Of The Lamb- Good Friday

Today’s Consuming Fire
Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s
Scriptures

Good Friday

Washed by the Blood of The Lamb

Let my Precious Blood fall upon you. My drops of Blood are a bank check. The
check is valid until the end of the world. The soul in God’s grace can cash it
at any time before their death. Each soul must use this check as frequently as
possible. It is the ransom paid by my Precious Blood. (Jesus) (February 22,
1964)

Today’s Readings:

Yet it was our infirmities that he bore ,our sufferings that he endured, while we thought of him as stricken, as one smitten by God and afflicted. But he was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins; upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole, by his stripes we were healed. We had all gone astray like sheep, each following his own way; but the LORD laid upon him the guilt of us all. (Isaiah 53)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord we have all gone astray like sheep, yet no matter how many times we fall You are there to pick us up- there is no limit to Your Love, Mercy, and Forgiveness! Let us go boldly to the Throne of Grace and never hurt You with our distrust in Your Mercy! O Jesus, Let the healing rain of Your Precious Blood fall on us- O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus- we trust in You!

The God Who Washes Our Feet- Loving Us To The End – Holy Thursday

Today’s Consuming Fire
Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s
Scriptures

Holy Thursday

The God Who Washes Our Feet- Loving Us To The End

Mary: “My little one, Thursdays and Fridays should be considered as great days of grace. Those who offer reparation to my Divine Son on these days will receive a great grace. During the hours of reparation, the power of Satan will weaken to the degree that those making reparation pray for sinners.(Mary) (September 29, 1962)

Today’s Readings: “Do you realize what I have done for you?You call me ‘teacher’ and ‘master,’ and rightly so, for indeed I am. If I, therefore, the master and teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet. I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do.” (John 13)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord on this Holy Thursday let us meditate deeply on Your love for us and model that love for others. Let us be cleansed by You so we can serve others. Let us also keep You company tonight at least one hour and make reparation for those who do not know You and love You- You gave everything for our salvation, let us give just a little back to participate in Your saving work.

Reparation For Others

3/31/21 Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily
Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of Holy Week

Reparation For Others

Adore Me and make reparation on behalf of others also. Seek many graces for
them. (Jesus) (January 6, 1963)

Today’s Readings:

Insult has broken my heart, and I am weak,
    I looked for sympathy, but
there was none;
for consolers, not one could I
find.
Rather they put gall in my food,
and in my thirst they gave me
vinegar to drink.

I will praise the name of God in song ,and I will glorify him with thanksgiving: “See, you lowly ones, and be glad; you who seek God, may your hearts revive! (Psalm 69)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord even in the darkest hour let us seek Your Face and praise You in all things. Today we read in the Gospel how You were betrayed by one of the twelve- by a disciple and friend. And while we can relate to that on a human level what was worse was the loss of Judas because of his despair. We cannot even imagine how You grieve over the loss of souls. Let us seek Your restoration for our own hearts and for others and let us console Your Heart in union with The Immaculate Heart of Mary as we enter the Triduum.

Tuesday of Holy Week

You Can’t Run from Trouble

They avoid what is difficult, as years go on, their soul becomes grey and
covered with dust. (Jesus) (December 22, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? Amen, amen, I say to you, the cock will not crow before you deny me three times.” (John 13)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, Peter could talk the talk but couldn’t walk the walk- how many times is that us even in our daily lives. When it gets hard, when the road narrows and gets rocky, we just want to hide and make it all go away. Lord help us not to deny You but follow You even when the path ahead is impossible to see and when we fall. Let us, like Peter ,also humbly realize our brokenness and accept Your forgiveness.

Monday of Holy Week

Be Strong and Courageous

Suffer with courage, perseverance, and sincere abandonment.
Don’t ponder if the suffering is large or small. All that you can still do for
Me on Earth is meritorious. (Jesus) (July 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: I believe that I shall see the bounty of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD with courage; be stouthearted, and wait for the LORD. (Psalm 27)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, help me to suffer with courage and abandonment to Your Holy Will. Lord I believe that You all working all things for good. I will wait for You with courage! Lord all we can do for You is meritorious. So, let us like Mary in today’s Gospel (John 12)  anoint You with the sweet perfume of our offering of ourselves in complete trust and abandonment as we enter Holy Week .

Today’s Consuming Fire

Palm Sunday

May Our Feet Journey Together

I am the Mother of Sorrows, I suffer greatly because of the
souls being lost. I am tortured in pain as I grieve for the suffering of my
Divine Son. Never despise any tiredness. Be my eternal companion helping me
bear my sufferings. This is what I ask of you.” (Mary) (November 19, 1962)

Today’s Readings: The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of those
who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him that is weary.
(Isaiah 50)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we sing Your Praises but we also meditate on Your Passion. Holy Week is here- whether we spent our Lent fruitfully or not. Lord our own crosses can make us so tired- we may be dealing with illness of a family member, children away from Church and caught up in the world, or the stress and busyness of life that does not allow us much time to pause and pray! But Lord You who have given us everything, holding back nothing and if we ask You will give us the strength to sustain us who are weary and weak. Lord help us not despise any tiredness or crosses but help us to be Our Blessed Mother’s eternal companion in prayer and sacrifice- offering You the scraps of who we are this week if that is all we can muster knowing that You will multiply our poor love and pour into us the infinite Ocean of Your Mercy! Jesus, we love You and surrender to You!

As A Shepherd Guards His Flock- The Ransom From Heaven

Today’s Consuming Fire
Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s
Scriptures

Saturday of the Fifth Week of Lent

As A Shepherd Guards His Flock- Ransom
From Heaven

Prostrate yourselves at the feet of My Holy Cross and let My Precious Blood fall upon you. The drops of My Blood are a blank check in your hands; you need only to collect it. This check is valid until the end of the world. The soul that lives in God’s grace can cash it anywhere, at any time until death, even if she ignores the day. As frequently as possible, each soul must make use of this check, which is the ransom paid by My Precious Blood. (Jesus) (February 22, 1964)

Today’s Readings: The LORD shall ransom Jacob,
he shall redeem him from the
hand of his conqueror.
Shouting, they shall mount the heights of Zion,
    they shall come streaming to
the LORD’s blessings:
The grain, the wine, and the oil,
    the sheep and the oxen.
(Jeremiah 31)

Prayer Meditation- Lord we read today in Jeremiah that You are the Shepherd who guards and redeems His Flock. And You ask us to journey with You every step of the way as we enter Holy Week. Because if we walk with You, we will see how every tear, every insult, every assault on Your Most Holy Person, every drop of blood You shed was for every single one of us so that so that all would be redeemed at a price we could never pay. And You just want us to worship and adore You with hearts full of thanksgiving and love because we were bought at a price (1 Corinthians 7:23), no longer slaves (Romans 6:6) but set free by the Ransom from Heaven!

Believe The Works

Today’s Consuming Fire
Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s
Scriptures

Friday
of the Fifth Week of Lent

Believe
The Works

In any case ,I arrange everything for your good. My Divine Providence works hard, with diligence, and without any interruption for the good of all humanity. (Jesus) (January 29, 1964)

Today’s
Readings: If I do not perform my Father’s works, do not believe me;
but if I perform them, even if you do not believe me,
believe the works, so that you may realize and understand
that the Father is in me and I am in the Father. (John 10)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today in the Gospels you encounter opposition from the religious leaders. So often, You encounter resistance from us as well. Even if we profess faith in You, we can struggle with doubt and unbelief. And yet Lord You arrange everything for our good! If we look back, we can see all the times that You worked miracles in our lives- moments of pure Grace and Providence even if we did not realize it at the time. What stories we all could tell and we will tell in Heaven! Lord, help us to take time today to meditate on Your Goodness and recall all those times that You worked in a mighty way or even small ways in our lives and may we do so with faith, trust, and thanksgiving!

Fiat-Solemnity Of The Annunciation Of The Lord

Solemnity of the
Annunciation of The Lord

Fiat

There has never been a time of grace like this since the Word became Flesh. Blinding Satan will shake the world.” (Mary) (September 3, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.
May it be done to me according to your word.” (Luke 1)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we celebrate Our Blessed Mother’s Fiat and we are thankful and rejoice at Her docility to Your Holy Will. Lord we believe that nothing is impossible with You.  You became Man in the darkness of this world at the time of the Annunciation and Your Presence has never left us in this time of trial. Like Our Blessed Mother, we must accept Your Will and walk in faith, even when it all just does not make sense. Lord we believe You are up to something in these times, that Your Mercy and Grace have not left us.  In fact, this is a time of grace as never before. The world seems shaken  but You hold us all in the palm of Your Hand. Let us give our Fiat to Your Holy Will today which is Love and Mercy itself!

Another In The Fire

With all your strength, remain continually in My redeeming work. You will not be paid less because you came later than those who arrived early. But, naturally, from you I require surrender and faithfulness that must last unto death, because it is the only way you can help from up there also. There, our hands will gather in unity.” (Jesus) (October 4, 1962)

Today’s
Readings: “If you
remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples,
and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8)

Prayer Meditation- Lord You come to us today in Your Word. In fact, You come to us every day in Your Word. And You ask us to remain in You and to be Your disciples. You ask us to know the truth, the only truth that sets us free! The truth that has never left us or forsaken us but whispers gently in our storms, I am with you! Just as in the first reading from Daniel 3, we may feel like we are in the blazing furnace in the world we live in today but You, the Son of Man are with us in the fire no matter how hot it is blazing! Lord help us to praise You with Daniel- “Blessed are you who look into the depths
from your throne upon the cherubim;
praiseworthy and exalted above all forever.” We praise You in this storm!

Lifted Up

Scriptures

Tuesday
of the Fifth Week of Lent

Lifted
Up

At that same instant, He lifted up my soul from the earth while the sound of His words kept ringing in me. He added: Jesus: “It is only the soul purified of its sins that I raise to Me in this way.” (Elizabeth/Jesus) (January 13, 1966)

Today’s
Readings: So, Jesus said to them,
“When you lift up the Son of Man,
then you will realize that I AM,
and that I do nothing on my own,
but I say only what the Father taught me.
The one who sent me is with me.
He has not left me alone,
because I always do what is pleasing to him.” (John 8)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, like the first reading today in Numbers, we feel that we are perishing from the snakes that bite us. Even if  we are not in physical danger, we all will perish in our sins without repentance. Lord, You are high and lifted up- the Son of Man high on the Cross that takes away the sins of the world. Help us Lord Jesus to keep our eyes above the storm around us and on You, clearly fixed on You, and lead us to everlasting life!
