Solemnity of the Nativity of John the
Baptist

Light to the Nations

“After your death, my little one, your place will be next to me. Your drops of oil gathered on earth – which by your lifetime of sacrifices, my Divine Son united with His merits – will fall back upon the extinguished lamps of the souls and will ignite them by my Flame of Love. By this light, they will find the way that leads to salvation.” (Mary) (May 30, 1965)

Today’s Readings: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
        before you
were born, I dedicated you,
        a prophet to
the nations I appointed you. (Jeremiah 1)

He will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s
womb,
and he will turn many of the children of Israel
to the Lord their God.
He will go before him in the spirit and power of
Elijah
to turn their hearts toward their children
and the disobedient to the understanding of the
righteous,
to prepare a people fit for the Lord.”
(Luke 1)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord ,we thank You today for the nativity of John the Baptist, the messenger who bore witness to the Word Made Flesh full of grace and truth! (John 1) Today You call us to be messengers to the way that leads to salvation- Lord help us to unite our sacrifices to Your merits so that souls will be ignited with Your Flame of Love even after we have left this earth!

Bearing Abundant Fruit

Wednesday of the Twelfth Week of Ordinary Time

Bearing Abundant Fruit

Jesus: “Remain silent, My little Carmelite. Do not be surprised if I say this often. Do you know who is truly wise? The one who says very little. True wisdom matures in the soil of silence, and only in silence can it take root. I am your Master and I instruct you. I prepared Myself for three years of activity by thirty years of silence. Being your Master, and united with Me, you will also find wisdom. Speak only when I give you the signal, expressing yourself only in the way you have learned from Me, or in the manner I would say it Myself. In a word, imitate Me. You will see that just a few words can produce good abundant fruits in souls (Jesus) (August 16, 1962)

Today’s Readings:

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit,
nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be
cut down
and thrown into the fire.
So by their fruits you will know them.”
(August 16, 1962)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, thank You for teaching us how to bear the abundant fruit of the Spirit. It is only in remaining in You that we can bear the good fruit- joy, peace, love, self control. Lord, let us not fall away from Your Tree of Life by opening our mouths too much- let our words be Your Words and not ours which so often get us into trouble! Help us to stay united to You so that we would find wisdom because the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without inconstancy and insincerity. (James 3:17). Let our few words united to You produce abundant fruit in souls.

Pearls Before Swine

Jesus: “For My Cause, you must undergo great sufferings and you must continually battle for souls. Outside of this, My little one, do not waste your strength on anything else.” (June 2, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to his disciples:
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your
pearls before swine,
lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and
tear you to pieces. (Matthew 7)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we thank You for Your Word today in this Gospel, the same one that urges us to walk on the narrow road. One way we can give into that broad way of life is to throw our pearls before swine. We do this whenever we let the media manipulate us, let ourselves get pulled into arguments that get us nowhere with people we will never convince, and when we let fear, anxiety and anger take over, essentially throwing away what is holy in us, which is You, and giving it to the dogs. Lord, our battles are not against flesh and blood and really not even against the culture on our own. Our battles are against the rulers and principalities of the evil one (Ephesians 6). And for this battle of saving souls, we need to stay in continuous prayer (1 Thessalonians 5) and union with You even during our busy days offering it all for Your Glory! Anything else we find ourselves getting caught up in if not in union with You is just wasting our strength and spinning our wheels.

Blessed The People The Lord Has Chosen To Be His Own

Memorial of Saint
Aloysius Gonzaga

 Blessed Are The People
The Lord Has Chosen to Be His Own

Jesus: “Do not worry, My dear little Carmelite. Do not think, ‘How will I make the Cause prevail?’ I work with chosen souls. Be satisfied with being good. Do you know how to be a good Carmelite? Live humbly. Live the hidden contemplative life in union with Me. Refrain your tongue and be on guard not to say unneeded words. (Jesus) (April 10, 1962)

Today’s Readings: “I will make of you a
great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
so that you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you
and curse those who curse you.
All the communities of the earth
shall find blessing in you.” (Genesis 12)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we thank You and praise You and glorify You for your promises to Abraham to make of him a great nation, a people You have chosen to be Your own! It looked impossible to Abraham at the time that the promise would be fulfilled and it looked impossible to Elizabeth that Our Lady’s Cause would prevail through her who, like us was just a weak instrument. But You assure us that You have chosen us right here, right now to advance Your Kingdom, not because we are so great but because You are great and with You all things are possible! So, help us to live humbly and to walk with You living a hidden life in union with You because we are the poor instruments that You are using during these times to give You Glory and to save souls.

Quiet! Be Still!

Today’s Consuming Fire
Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s
Scriptures

Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Quiet! Be Still!

Listen, currently, earth is like nature before a storm. It can also be compared to an erupting volcano which smothers, kills and blinds with the infernal smoke and its falling ashes. Its tremors disturb everything around it. Such is the terrible situation of the earth at this moment. (Mary) (May 19, 1963)

Today’s Readings: They woke him and said to him,
“Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?”
He woke up,
rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Quiet!
 Be still!”
The wind ceased and there was great calm.
Then he asked them, “Why are you terrified?
Do you not yet have faith?” (Mark 4)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we thank You and praise You and adore You for Your Word and Your Gospel today. Because these days, I think we are feeling the effects of the storm that is arising in our world like an erupting volcano. We are feeling that diabolical disorientation that Sister Lucia of Fatima warned us about. The last year and half has in many ways showed us that the storm that Our Lady has warned us about in so many ways and places is here. And it is so easy to get caught up in it all and cry out like the Apostles that we are perishing! And yet, You have promised to never leave us- in the middle of the chaos of this world You tell us to be quiet and be still and You bring us Your calm and Your peace. Because we were not only created not for this world but for Your Kingdom ,but we were also created for a time such as this (Esther 4:14). So let us not give in to anxiety, worry, fear, negativity, and complaining – our own little wills, but let us submit ourselves entirely to Your Divine Will knowing that we can trust in You and praise You in any storm!

Do Not Worry- His Grace Is Sufficient

Saturday of the Eleventh Week of Ordinary Time

Do Not Worry- His Grace is Sufficient

Jesus: “You please Me a great deal at this moment. You ask why? Continue to do you your best. What did your guardian angel tell you? Increase the adoration and homage to the Holy Majesty of God. You see how by your resolve to examine your conscience every hour, your soul is refined to become more apt to immerse itself in God and worship Him. Your homage also is greatly gaining in standing with the Holy Majesty of God. This proposition on your part requires a very great peaceful contemplation. But to the one who loves, nothing is impossible. I have provided you with sufficient examples of that. Your bad temper will go on, but out of this evil nature, I will accomplish a masterpiece if you agree to submit to My Divine Hand. (September 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Therefore, that I might not become too elated,
a thorn in the flesh was given to me, an angel of
Satan,
to beat me, to keep me from being too elated.
Three times I begged the Lord about this, that it
might leave me,
but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you,
for power is made perfect in weakness.”
I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses,
in order that the power of Christ may dwell with
me. (2 Corinthians 12)

But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given you besides.
Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take
care of itself.
Sufficient for a day is its own evil.”
(Matthew 6)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, the closer we get to You and the more we see ourselves, we can really feel the weight of who we are. St. Paul talks about a thorn in the flesh, Elizabeth has a bad temper and we all have something that is an obstacle to being the best version of ourselves. But the wonderful thing is, You know all about that- and You will accomplish a masterpiece in all of us if we submit to Your Divine Hand and let You do it because without You, we are nothing! (John 15). You tell us in the First Reading today that Your Grace is sufficient. You tell us in the Gospel that we are to seek first the Kingdom and not to worry about tomorrow. So let us keep trying to do our best and examine ourselves not in a scrupulous manner but with peaceful contemplation because to the one who loves nothing is impossible and nothing at all is impossible for God! Let us be glad in our weakness and submit our nothingness to the All whose power dwells in us!

Where Is Your Heart?

Today’s Consuming Fire

Scriptures

Friday of the Eleventh Week of Ordinary Time

Where is Your Heart?

Through you, my little Carmelite, I want all to know the anguish that springs up from the boundless love of my maternal heart because of the danger threatening the entire world by the disintegration of the family sanctuaries. I direct my maternal cry to all of you, and in union with you, I want to save the world. (Mary) (January 17, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to his disciples :”Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be. (Matthew 6)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, how easily it is to have our hearts set on the world and what it has to offer. We try to save maybe for a nice retirement or we have goals for our careers and our families. But Lord, all around us families are disintegrating- even if we are ok it hard not to see what is happening in our culture. Our Lady in these times calls us to join Her in setting our hearts on the salvation of souls and particularly the restoration of family life. Lord, open our eyes so we can see where our hearts are leading us- are they leading us and our loved ones to Heaven or are we living for those things that can be here today and gone tomorrow. Lord You are our treasure- help us to live for You and for Your Kingdom in our families and in our hearts!

Our Father

Today’s Consuming Fire

Scriptures

Thursday of the Eleventh Week of Ordinary Time

Our Father

“May our lips beg our heavenly Father, together, to obtain mercy.” (Jesus) (May 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: “This is how you are to pray:

‘Our Father who art in heaven ,hallowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’ (Matthew 6)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, as we pray the Our Father, a prayer we pray sometimes many times a day,  let us pray it with true intention and devotion. Because You are Our Father- Our Father means You have given Yourself to us, You have given us everything. Let us worship You today and let Your Will be done in our lives- help us to surrender to Your Holy Will which is love and mercy itself! Let Your Will be done on Earth as it is Heaven!

Wednesday of the Eleventh Week of Ordinary Time

A Cheerful Giver

“They are bored. They live in wasteful laziness, seeking only their own comfort. They exclude Me from their lives, taking every opportunity to hide like cowards and to deceive themselves. They act as if they were not My workers. O unhappy ones, how can you give an account of your wasted time?” (Jesus) (October 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Brothers and sisters, consider this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9)

Prayer Meditation- Lord how stingy we can be, even those who feel called to work in Your Vineyard. We can get stuck in our comfort zones and find that much like the Church in Ephesus we have lost our first love (Revelations 2). We forget we are called to evangelize others through our witness of joy, peace and love. As St. Teresa of Avila exclaimed God save us from dour faced saints! Let us sow bountifully today with cheerfulness and not with sadness or compulsion. You love a cheerful giver!

The Extra Mile

Today’s Consuming Fire

Monday of the Eleventh Week of Ordinary Time

The Extra Mile

Jesus: “You are My little drop of water. Immerse yourself in the intoxicating wine of My infinite Divinity, both in its life-giving power and in its sweet aroma that you pour out for Me. May My good aroma pour out around you. When others perceive it, they will be led to Me. You see, we must be one. Do not be bound by the clay of the earth filled with worms. Let the earth be only that for you. Look at it as such and let us save souls from the worms that threaten and swarm them. Do penance and pray for them. Your acceptance of the sacrifice is the salt that, once poured over the swarming worms, they will fall like dead leeches. Let them be shriveled and annihilated. Let us have just one thought: the salvation of souls. (Jesus) (May 17, 1963)

Today’s Readings: If anyone wants to go to law with you over your tunic, hand him your cloak as well. Should anyone press you into service for one mile, go with him for two miles. Give to the one who asks of you, and do not turn your back on one who wants to borrow.”

Prayer Meditation- Lord You know so well that we have all heard this Gospel and yet how this goes against our flesh and our feelings. Because the truth is most days, we are ready to go to war over that tunic and we certainly are not going to walk even four feet for a spouse, a child, or a co-worker who at this moment is driving us nuts! However, Lord, the battle for today is to put away our feelings so that we can put on Your Heart- it is only with Your Grace that we can give to those who ask of us today. Even when it is difficult or we are tired or it may be inconvenient. This firm and persevering acceptance of sacrifices for love of You is what will produce abundant fruit in many souls! So let us walk that extra mile today- just leave the baggage behind!

Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

Scattering Seeds- We Know Not How

“Do not forget how painful for Me is the fate of the seeds that fall by the roadside. Pull up the flowers growing in your soul and bring them to Me while they are fresh. (Jesus) (May 18, 1963)

Today’s Readings: “This is how it is with the kingdom of God; it is as if a man were to scatter seed on the land and would sleep and rise night and day and through it all the seed would sprout and grow, he knows not how. (Mark 4)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, each day You are sowing seeds into our souls. These little seeds grow by our response to Your Grace! Lord help us to not let the seeds fall by the roadside- prune us help us to stay fresh, bringing You fresh flowers each day! May the seeds of faith, hope and love sprout and grow in our souls!

The Heart of A Mother

Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Take this Flame, my daughter, you are the first one I am handing it to. It is the Flame of Love of my heart. Ignite your own heart with it and then pass it on to others.” (Mary) (April 13, 1962)

Today’s
Readings:

He went down with them and came to
Nazareth,
and was obedient to them;
and his mother kept all these things in her heart. (Luke 2)

Prayer Meditation: Lord, we thank You for the gift of the Immaculate Heart of Our Blessed Mother. She is full of grace and mercy, a mirror of Your Sacred Heart and she passes this Flame to all who will accept it right here, right now! She is the Ark of the Covenant and She is throwing out the lifelines- let us jump aboard this Ark into the safety of Her Immaculate Heart and bring as many as we can with us!

Resting On His Heart-Sacred Heart of Jesus

Today’s Consuming Fire

Resting
On His Heart

Solemnity
of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Jesus: “Have no fear, My little Carmelite. My Sacred Heart will be your permanent refuge. Don’t you feel it is so, and consequently, feel instantly relaxed? The compassion of love is forever enduring among those who love one another. Stay in My love and draw others to Me as well. You know, there are so few of us that a quick look captures the entire encampment. My eyes always watch over you and My Heart suffers greatly from those who are absent. Stay at My side in perseverance so I do not undergo a bitter disappointment.” (Jesus) (May 2, 1962)

Today’s Readings: For this reason I kneel before the Father,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth is
named,
that he may grant you in accord with the riches of
his glory
to be strengthened with power through his Spirit
in the inner self,
and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through
faith;
that you, rooted and grounded in love,
may have strength to comprehend with all the holy
ones
what is the breadth and length and height and
depth,
and to know the love of Christ which surpasses
knowledge,
so that you may be filled with all the fullness of
God. (Ephesians 3)

Prayer Meditation – O Lord on this special day we honor and venerate Your Sacred Heart- burning furnace of charity, abyss of all virtues, fountain of mercy, expiation for all of our sins! You have come to heal us and bind our wounds- to restore us to our true selves. To give us rest to be instantly relaxed in the permanent refuge of Your Sacred Heart. . Lord let us bring to You all of our worries, fears, sicknesses, sins, and all of our loved ones and all who do not yet love You and know You and lay it all at Your Feet today! Let us rest on Your Sacred Heart- because the breadth, length, height, and depth of Your Love are unfathomable! Jesus, we trust in You!

Unveiled Faces (From Glory to Glory)

Thursday of the Tenth Week of Ordinary Time

Jesus: “You see, My little sister, this fine veil, like a breath, is all that separates us from one another. Do you know what this is? It is your life that still keeps you captive on earth.” (Jesus) (September 3, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord
is,
there is freedom.
All of us, gazing with unveiled face on the glory
of the Lord,
are being transformed into the same image from
glory to glory,
as from the Lord who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians
3:5)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, we bless You, we adore You and we glorify You because You are  so close to us, it is really just a fine veil which separates us and keeps us captive on Earth. And if we are in You, then the Spirit of the Lord is in us and even here on earth we walk in freedom. With Your Victory on the Cross, the veil of the Temple was torn (Matthew 27:51) in two and the old covenant was gone. We are now Your living temples! And as we gaze on You now with our unveiled faces, we are transformed into Your image from glory to glory because it is not us who live but You who live in us (Galatians 2:20). Lord Jesus reign in us here on Earth as You do in Heaven- come Holy Spirit, come by the means of the power of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Glorious

Wednesday of the Tenth Week of Ordinary Time

One time, I asked Him to allow me to feel His glorious and majestic presence. He said: Jesus: “My little one, do not ask this for yourself. I give it to those for whom you have made a sacrifice or have offered prayers.”(Jesus) (1961-1962)

Today’s Readings: For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious,
the ministry of righteousness will abound much
more in glory.
Indeed, what was endowed with glory
has come to have no glory in this respect
because of the glory that surpasses it.
For if what was going to fade was glorious,
how much more will what endures be glorious.
(2 Corinthians 3)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we thank You, we praise You, and we glorify You because You are glorious! You were glorious in the old covenant and so much more in the new because Your Redemption endures forever! And how glorious it will be when Your Sanctification comes to full fruition when the Holy Spirit renews the face of the Earth as if by a New Pentecost (Pope St. John XX111)! Lord it is easy for us when we feel Your Glory, when we feel Your sweet consolations in our souls. Yet You do not want us to ask for these warm fuzzies for ourselves but to pray for Your Glory to illumine the souls for whom we sacrifice and pray because we are not home yet. We all belong to each other. Oh Lord, show us Your Glory and help us to spread Your Flame of Love from heart to heart because the Kingdom is coming and You will have Your Bride spotless and blameless (2 Peter 3:14).

Lighting The Lamps Of Souls

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame
of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Tenth Week of Ordinary Time

Lighting The Lamps of Souls

This oil will fall on empty lamps and the Flame will be lit. It will even fall on souls that have no lamp (those without the light of true faith) and they will find the road to salvation.” (Mary) (Diary Page 59)

Today’s Readings:

You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord so many lamps are empty or flickering today- so many are without the light of faith! And yet we too, called to be light in the world, will so often hide our lamps under a bushel. We are called to be witnesses to Your Love in the world- we can’t always do it with words but we can with deeds and prayers- acts of mercy! To keep our lamps lit, we need You, otherwise, we can flicker out pretty quickly. Lord fill us with Your Light so we can be light for all families and for the world.  Lord light our lamps with the Flame of Love so it can spread like wildfire from soul to soul for Your Glory Lord!

Encouragement In Every Affliction

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame

 Encouragement  In Every Affliction

Monday Of The Tenth Week of Ordinary Time

Jesus: “I did not say that to discourage you. I want to encourage you so that you do not seek relief by looking to the earth in your battles. Look only at Me. I want that, while snuggling yourself right against Me and surrendering to Me in your arduous struggles, you never stop looking only upwards.” (February 7, 1963)

Today’s Readings: For as Christ’s sufferings overflow to us,
so through Christ does our encouragement also
overflow.
If we are afflicted,
it is for your encouragement and salvation;
if we are encouraged,
it is for your encouragement,
which enables you to endure the same sufferings
that we suffer.
Our hope for you is firm,
for we know that as you share in the sufferings,
you also share in the encouragement. (2 Corinthians
1)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, we thank You and bless You today because we know that our lives are full of sufferings and afflictions. And how often these sufferings drag us down to earth and we take our eyes off of You. It can be so hard to pray in those times, it can be so easy to be discouraged. And yet Lord, You tell us in today’s Gospel  (Matthew 5) that blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted. Lord help us to look only at You and to snuggle against Your most Sacred Heart surrendering all of our cares because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). And let us take that encouragement from our time spent in prayer and in meditation on Your Word and at Mass and offer it to others who are suffering so that they too can share in the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). The peace that only comes from You!

Death To Life

Death To Life

The Solemnity of the
Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

Jesus: “I place the smallest part of a single drop of My Blood over your great sorrow. I forgive your sins fully and I forget them. Offer this profound repentance for all the sinners.” (Jesus) (July 15, 1962)

Today’s Readings: For if the blood of goats and bulls
and the sprinkling of a heifer’s ashes
can sanctify those who are defiled
so that their flesh is cleansed,
how much more will the blood of Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit offered himself
unblemished to God,
cleanse our consciences from dead works
to worship the living God. (Hebrews 9)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we bless You, and adore You and love You on this most Holy Solemnity of Your Body and Blood shed for us. As the psalmist says, how shall I make a return for the good You have done for me? (Psalm 116). Lord, You have saved us and brought us from death to life (John 5:24) and You feed us, everyday if we wish, with Your very Self! There are no words to describe the mystery that takes place each day around the world in every Catholic Church! As Padre Pio said, “The earth could exist more easily without the sun than without the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass”. Lord each day, if we are disposed to receive You worthily (1 Corinthians 11,) You come into our hearts and our souls and You renew our minds (Romans 12) with the things of Heaven as long we are not too full of the things of this Earth. So let us come to You today, empty and poor, offering You our nothingness so that we can be filled with Your Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. Fill our hearts with You so that we would become living hosts (Divine Mercy in My Soul, paragraph 1826) and Your instruments of love and mercy in the world!

There Is Always A Test

Memorial of Saint Boniface- First
Saturday

To receive great graces, your soul must be prepared by greater sufferings. This is the only way to increase grace in your soul. Now, following your victory, I press you to my heart. When I speak to you, you will take up my Cause with greater fervor. This test was an opportunity to gain merits for others. (Mary) (May 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: “I will now tell you the whole truth;
I will conceal nothing at all from you.
I have already said to you,
‘A king’s secret it is prudent to keep,
but the works of God are to be made known with due
honor.’
I can now tell you that when you, Tobit, and Sarah
prayed,
it was I who presented and read the record of your
prayer
before the Glory of the Lord;
and I did the same thing when you used to bury the
dead.
When you did not hesitate to get up
and leave your dinner in order to go and bury the
dead,
I was sent to put you to the test.
At the same time, however,
God commissioned me to heal you and your
daughter-in-law Sarah.
I am Raphael, one of the seven angels
who enter and serve before the Glory of the Lord.”
(Tobit 12)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we bless You, we praise You and we adore You because we see how in the first reading that Tobit was put to the test. And we all have tests- challenges in our lives that test our faith, and our hope, and our love. And You watch us to see what we will do in these tests that You allow in our lives. Will we stay in faith or will we give in to worry, fear, even discouragement. You told us something interesting through the Gospel of John- let not our hearts be troubled (John 14). Which means that it is we who allow the trouble to get into our hearts disturbing our peace. Sometimes we pass these tests and sometimes we fail miserably. But we also know that You are the God with healing in Your Hands, in fact Raphael the Archangel was commissioned to heal Tobit and Sarah in the midst of the test. Lord, help us to pass these tests and not only pass them but may they be used for Your Glory and the salvation of souls! And when we fail, we know that Your Mercy and Healing will flow into our repentant hearts- strengthening us for the next test to come!

Raising Up The Lowly

 Ninth Friday of
Ordinary Time (First Friday)

O my Jesus, blessed be Your Holy Name by which I came to be blessed. I, a lowly nothing! My Lord, my adored Jesus, it is also Your infinite goodness that proclaims Your glory. How good You are to keep my soul in constant humility! My Lord, Your glory showed itself even more for having praised me. I am annihilated. Like a grain of dust, I fall at Your feet.” (Elizabeth) (January 13, 1966)

Today’s Readings: The LORD gives sight to the blind.
The LORD raises up those who are bowed down;
    the LORD loves the just.
The LORD protects strangers. (Psalm 146)

Prayer Meditation- Lord ,we bless You, praise You and adore You because in the first reading of today, we read not only about a happy ending for Tobit and Sarah with sight restored and successful marriage but we see Your faithfulness. We see how You give sight to the blind, raise up those who are bowed down, and protect the stranger, and all of us are strangers in this world because You are our true home! We are lowly nothings, grains of dust, and yet You see us, You hear us, and You restore us in due time. Lord may we always trust Your perfect timing. If what are  praying for is delayed let us wait with trust because You are never late (Habakkuk 2:3). Jesus, we trust in You!
