Bringing
What We Have

“You
are the smallest, the most ignorant and the least meritorious soul that I ever
found so as to bring these graces. In spite of that, through your littleness
and humility, I want to send forth my messages.” (Mary) (January 14, 1963)

Today’s Readings: But they said to him ,”Five loaves and two fish are all we have here.” Then he said, “Bring them here to me,” (Matthew 14)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we so want to do Your Work but we have so little to give.- just a couple loaves of bread and a couple fishes. Our smallness, ignorance, and our lack of ability to do anything on our own can feel so limiting. How can we feed the thousands who need You, or even those close to us who are far from You! Yet Lord You choose the weak of the world to confound the strong (1 Corinthians 1:27). You use us, broken earthly vessels, to be conduits of Grace as You multiply the little we have – You fill the wicker baskets to overflowing when we rely and trust in You! Lord help us to know that at each moment of our day You are with us- multiplying the little we have to give for Your Glory today for the salvation of souls.
