Kingdom Living

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Fourteenth Week of Ordinary Time

Kingdom Living

“Take part unceasingly in My Work of Redemption. Do not ask how. Fervently desire the coming of My Kingdom for yourself and for all souls. When you rest at night, examine your day. What have you done for My Kingdom to arrive? (Jesus) (April 20, 1962)

Today’s Reading:

As you go, make this proclamation:
‘The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
Cure the sick, raise the dead,
cleanse the lepers, drive out demons.
Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give. (Matthew 10)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord, You send us out yet we have all of our doubts and fears as if we are doing anything under our own power! You have given us everything we need to spread the Gospel- let us stop overthinking it and just do it! And if we cannot be active, even more importantly we can pray especially for the salvation of souls. Even the sick and the hospitalized can save souls by prayer and  acceptance of sacrifice. We can do all things through You who gives us strength!

Going To The Lost Sheep

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Fourteenth Week of Ordinary Time

Going to the Lost Sheep

My little one, I want that not one soul be damned. You should want
this together with me. For this purpose, I place in your hands a beam of light that is the Flame
of Love of my heart.’” (Mary) (January 15, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” (Matthew 10)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we know very well there are so many lost today. Faith is waning it seems- so many are lost in addictions, illness of all kinds, sin and despair. You have come so that we would have life abundant (John 10)- the Kingdom of Heaven starting here on Earth in our hearts. Not an earthly kingdom but the beginning of our union with You into eternity! Lord today You ask us to respond to this great Grace- the Flame of Love Grace through the Immaculate Heart of Mary! Lord we know Her Immaculate Heart will triumph and that the Holy Spirit will renew the face of the Earth- may it begin right here and right now with us living for Your Kingdom even in and especially in our day to day lives as we offer our daily duty to save souls!

Troubled And Abandoned

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Fourteenth Week of Ordinary Time

Troubled and Abandoned

If all is true and authentic
and if it is the Will of God, why must I live with such dark
and troubled torments? (Elizabeth) (Spring 1971)

Today’s Readings: At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them
because they were troubled and abandoned,
like sheep without a shepherd. (Matthew 9)

Prayer Meditation- Troubled and abandoned. Lord, if I could think of two words many of us felt and are feeling still in these times they would be it. But Lord, You have never abandoned us and forsaken us- in fact Your Sacred Heart has been moved to pity for not only those of us who felt abandoned but also for those who are away from You during these tumultuous times- the unbelievers and those who do not yet know Your Love. Because the truth is the Fountain of Mercy is flowing more than ever in these times of Divine Mercy. That the graces of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary- the greatest grace since the Word Became Flesh is flowing to us as well and calling us and our loved ones into the Ark. And we can sit here feeling sorry for ourselves like Lot’s wife and lament what may not every return in the same way or we can keep walking forward with our hand to the plow without looking back (Luke 9:62) because we trust in You even in and especially in the dark.

He Is Faithful

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Fourteenth Week of Ordinary Time

He is Faithful

Patience, perseverance and fidelity keep you
close to me. You and the others will see what no human eye has
seen and no ear has heard. In heaven, we will see and hear as
one.” (Jesus) (April 6, 1964)

Today’s Readings:

I will espouse you to me forever:
I will espouse you in right and in justice,
in love and in mercy;
I will espouse you in fidelity,
and you shall know the LORD. (Hosea 2)

Prayer Meditation: Lord, how many of us have been like the reading from Hosea today. Sometimes it takes some time in the desert to understand how far we have wandered and how we have worshiped and followed false gods- money, career, prestige, material things, you name it. And yet, You call us always and You speak to our hearts and You never give up on us even when we are far from You! God You are always faithful even when we are faithless. (2 Timothy 2:13). Lord help us to grow in patience, perseverance, and fidelity as we come closer to You! Lord may we stay close to You by persevering in faithfulness because You are always faithful. May we never run after anything false again!

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Fourteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time

He filled my soul with the
strength of His grace. I cannot express the Lord’s words any more. I have written these words
to record how the Lord’s goodness comforts me in my difficult hours.(Elizabeth) (February 7, 1963)

Today’s Readings: As nurslings, you shall be carried in her arms,
and fondled in her lap;
as a mother comforts her child,
so will I comfort you;
in Jerusalem you shall find your comfort. (Isaiah 66)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, when I read this first reading from Isaiah I picture the Blessed Mother and how She carries us in Her Arms to You if we but trust in Her intercession. Lord it is in You and in Your Church that we find our comfort and our peace. You never abandon us or leave us orphans in our time of need. Lord, there are many people reading this today who may be anxious, worried, upset, or in fear. They may be facing illnesses, family strife, problems and stress at work, loneliness and despair. Lord, let us place all of them and us into Your Mother’s Arms so She can bring us all to You- You are our peace!

Justice And Peace Shall Kiss

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of the Thirteenth Week of Ordinary Time- Fourth of July Weekend

Justice and Peace Shall Kiss

Perhaps the Evil One, disguised as an angel of light, wanted to disturb the peace which I had gained at such a great cost. (Elizabeth) (March 4-7 1962)

Today’s Readings: Kindness and truth shall meet;
justice and peace shall kiss.
Truth shall spring out of the earth,
and justice shall look down from heaven. (Psalm 85)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we meditate in this tumultuous times, Independence Day for us Americans. about how far we have wandered from You. It seems as though evil is having it’s day. And yet, in the first reading- we see the promise of restoration from the Book of Amos– I will bring about the restoration of my people Israel;
they shall rebuild and inhabit their ruined cities.
Lord, if we but turn to You, You have promised that You will hear us and You will heal our land. Lord, we all need not only justice but kindness and peace this July 4th. Let us spend time as Your people on our knees praying for the restoration of our nation. Thank You Lord for the gifts You have bestowed on our nation- please bless us and keep us!

In Need Of A Physician

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday of the Thirteenth Week of Ordinary Time

In Need of a Physician

“Many, many times, I experienced the
repentance that the Lord’s mercy brought forth in my soul. I want to repent for my sins like no
one ever has repented until now.” (Elizabeth) (First Sunday of January 1964)

Today’s Readings: He heard this and said,
“Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do.
Go and learn the meaning of the words,
I desire mercy, not sacrifice.
I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.” (Matthew 9)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we read about the conversion of Matthew and how he left everything to follow You! He brought his friends to dinner- the tax collectors and the sinners. They were to say the least not the righteous- but then who is without Your Grace? Lord, pour Your Mercy into our souls- may our repentance spur us to bring those we love to Your House so that they may too know Your Tender Mercy for them. Lord may we like the Good Samaritan pick them up and dress their wounds if needed until they are ready to come to You under their own power! (Luke 10)

Paralyzed No More

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Thirteenth Week of Ordinary Time

Paralyzed No More

I am the sole Donor of blood in the whole world. Permeate yourself with My love, My almighty
love. Meditate on that now in the light of My holy brightness. Can’t you feel this Precious
Blood? My Precious Blood warms up and sets into motion the frozen, paralyzed energy of your
souls.” (Jesus) (January 16, 1964)

Today’s Reading: Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’
or to say, ‘Rise and walk’?
But that you may know that the Son of Man
has authority on earth to forgive sins”–
he then said to the paralytic,
“Rise, pick up your stretcher, and go home.” (Matthew 9)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we thank You for Your Word today and this Gospel Reading! Lord, we are all like this man in many ways. Yes, we may all struggle with physical infirmities in our lives but that is not the true paralysis. As a rehabilitation nurse I have been blessed to know many who may be broken in body but not in spirit. But the real paralysis Lord is the presence of sin in our lives- that is where we need healing! Lord call us to repentance and to the Sacrament of Reconciliation so that our frozen, paralyzed souls will be warmed and healed by Your Precious Blood!

Finishing The Race

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul

Finishing the Race

“Don’t forget, your principal missionary work will always be your own family. I could not entrust you with that before, because I did not want you to stop halfway. Your family is the point of departure for your mission. This work is not yet finished. Be interested principally in priestly vocations.” (Jesus) (August 28, 1962 )

Today’s Readings: I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. From now on the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me,but to all who have longed for his appearance. (2 Timothy 4)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today as we celebrate the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, we are reminded that no matter how much time we may have, our work is not yet finished! You do not want us to stop halfway- You have placed us in families, in workplaces, in communities- many mission fields without leaving home! Lord help us at the end of our time on Earth to pray with St. Paul and state that we have competed well and let us pray with St. Peter that You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God (Matthew 16) as You welcome us home.

Why Are You Terrified?

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Irenaeus

Why Are You Terrified

Jesus: “Tell Me, little sister, why do you consider yourself alone since I am the One leading you? Have no fear, I will not let go of you. Come, let us go together and let there be no other moment when you would feel alone.” (Jesus) (January 15, 1966)

Today’s Gospel: They came and woke him, saying,
“Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
He said to them, “Why are you terrified, O you of little faith?”
Then he got up, rebuked the winds and the sea,
and there was great calm. (Matthew 8)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we all know there is much to be anxious or even terrified about these days. To the question You asked the Apostles we may feel like saying are You kidding Lord- have You seen the news? But the truth is, You not have only seen the news, You hold the future and for You being outside of time, You already know what happens. No need for You to follow some 24/7 news cycle. So really why are we so terrified- why is our faith so small when You are so big! Bigger than anything that may be happening in our world today and You are still in control! So let us have no fear- You will never let us go even when the waves, the winds, and the sea threaten to drown us. Let us have faith and trust that You will rebuke the winds and the sea even if it just in our own souls and with You there will be great calm always if we keep our eyes fixed on You!

The Time Is Now

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Thirteenth Week of Ordinary Time

The Time is Now

Time is short, little sister, and never returns. What you do not accept at a given moment will never again become available to you, because I think that you would not receive it willingly. (Jesus) (July 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Another of his disciples said to him, “Lord, let me go first and bury my father.” But Jesus answered him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead.” (Matthew 8)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You call us but it seems we always have some reason or excuse why we can’t do what You are asking right here, right now. I will follow You Lord more closely when these kids grow up, or when I retire, or when I settle down and start a family, or when the circumstances are right whatever those perceived circumstances may be. But Lord, You are asking us in our busy lives at every age to follow You now in the busyness and the noise. You ask us to pray each day and study the Word so that we can hear what You are asking of us in each moments of our day. Time is short and never returns- let us be attuned at all times to the inspirations You send us every day and respond in love and acceptance.

Follow Me

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thirteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time

Follow Me

The souls that make reparation and faithfully follow My desires are so few. (Jesus) (October 18, 1962)

Today’s Readings: As they were proceeding on their journey someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” Jesus answered him, “Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to rest his head.” (Luke 9)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, sometimes it seems there are many who say they are eager to follow You and yet how many are ready for the reality? Because the truth is to follow You is to die- to die to ourselves, our desires, our selfish ways, and our attachments, even good things, if You are not in the center of our hearts. So many times, we just want to look back and not ahead as we put our hands to the plow of our pilgrimage on Earth to You! Lord, help us to console Your Sacred Heart- help us to make reparation and to faithfully follow You in our lives and our vocations! Help us to rest on Your Sacred Heart because even when the way seems hard and long we are always home in You!

The Heart Of A Mother

Up with Today’s Scriptures

The Heart Of A Mother

Feast of The Immaculate Heart of Mary

Take this Flame, my daughter, you are the first one I am handing it to. It is the Flame of Love of my heart. Ignite your own heart with it and then pass it on to others.” (Mary)1962)

Today’s Readings:

He went down with them and came to Nazareth,
and was obedient to them;
and his mother kept all these things in her heart. (Luke 2)

Prayer Meditation: Lord, we thank You for the gift of the Immaculate Heart of Our Blessed Mother. She is full of grace and mercy, a mirror of Your Sacred Heart and she passes this Flame to all who will accept it right here, right now! She is the Ark of the Covenant and She is throwing out the lifelines- let us jump aboard this Ark into the safety of Her Immaculate Heart and bring as many as we can with us!

Resting On His Heart

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

Resting On His Heart

Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Jesus: “Have no fear, My little Carmelite. My Sacred Heart will be your permanent refuge. Don’t you feel it is so, and consequently, feel instantly relaxed? The compassion of love is forever enduring among those who love one another. Stay in My love and draw others to Me as well. You know, there are so few of us that a quick look captures the entire encampment. My eyes always watch over you and My Heart suffers greatly from those who are absent. Stay at My side in perseverance so I do not undergo a bitter disappointment.” (Jesus) (May 2, 1962)

Today’s Readings: But God proves his love for us
in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
How much more then, since we are now justified by his blood,
will we be saved through him from the wrath.
Indeed, if, while we were enemies,
we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son,
how much more, once reconciled,
will we be saved by his life.
Not only that,
but we also boast of God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom we have now received reconciliation. (Romans 5)

Prayer Meditation – O Lord on this special day we honor and venerate Your Sacred Heart- burning furnace of charity, abyss of all virtues, fountain of mercy, expiation for all of our sins! You have come to heal us and bind our wounds- to restore us to our true selves. To give us rest to be instantly relaxed in the permanent refuge of Your Sacred Heart. . Lord let us bring to You all of our worries, fears, sicknesses, sins, and all of our loved ones and all who do not yet love You and know You and lay it all at Your Feet today! Let us rest on Your Sacred Heart and let You pour Your Love into our broken hearts! Jesus, we trust in You!

Light To The Nations

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Solemnity of the Nativity of John the Baptist

Light to the Nations

“After your death, my little one, your place will be next to me. Your drops of oil gathered on earth – which by your lifetime of sacrifices, my Divine Son united with His merits – will fall back upon the extinguished lamps of the souls and will ignite them by my Flame of Love. By this light, they will find the way that leads to salvation.” (Mary) (May 30, 1965)

Today’s Readings: It is too little, he says, for you to be my servant, to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and restore the survivors of Israel; I will make you a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.(Isaiah 49)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we thank You today for the nativity of John the Baptist, the messenger who bore witness to the Word Made Flesh full of grace and truth! (John 1) Today You call us to be messengers to the way that leads to salvation- Lord help us to unite our sacrifices to Your merits so that souls will be ignited with Your Flame of Love even after we have left this earth!

Bearing Fruit That Will Last

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Twelfth Week of Ordinary Time

Bearing Fruit that Will Last

“Do not make decisions based upon the feelings of the moment. Have a firm and persevering acceptance of sacrifices. This is what produces abundant fruit in the souls.” (Jesus) (August 7, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So by their fruits you will know them.” (Matthew 7)

Prayer Meditations- Lord, You have given us Your Holy Spirit so that we would bear fruit for Your Kingdom, fruit that lasts! (John 15:16). But the truth is we cannot do that at all on our own- as little trees we cannot will that fruit comes forth under our own power. Lord it is so easy to be swayed back and forth by our feelings, we become so double minded and unstable in all of our ways (James 1:8). Lord help us to persevere despite our feelings and accept Your Will, the sacrament of the present moment, in all things- connected to The Vine we will indeed then bear the fruit that lasts!

The Little Narrow Way

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga

The Little Narrow Way

Simply abandon yourself to Me. The way to the Golgotha was covered with obstacles. I had to cut a way for myself with great difficulty. (Jesus) (February 4, 1963)

Today’s Readings: “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.” (Mathew 7)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You ask us to not only enter the narrow gate but to stay on the narrow road. Why does it seem like we are always veering to the right and to the left? (Isaiah 30:21). Lord how do we stay on this narrow constricted road? Lord I believe You are telling us that the key is abandonment to Your Divine Providence- the little way of Saints like Therese and Faustina who trusted in You although they could not see the way ahead. Lord, we want to cut down all the obstacles ourselves but the truth is You have already done it for us! Help us walk in the path You have prepared for us with our feet journeying together and our hands gathered in unity!

Stop Judging-Start Praying!

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Twelfth Week of Ordinary Time

Stop Judging- Start Praying!

By the effect of grace of my Flame of Love, you have gained, my Carmelite daughter, that God has come down to you and that the fire of charity burning for His work of Redemption greatly consumes your soul. To possess this is a very great

privilege. This is why your heart should be permeated with a deep humility.” (Mary) (July 24, 1965)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to his disciples:

“Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.(Matthew 7)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, there is so much division these days even in families, sometimes it seem especially in families. We all judge and put each other in categories- left, right, conservative, liberal not only politically but in the Church. And then we yell at each other don’t judge me- it has truly gotten out of hand and the only one winning is Satan. Lord, the time for talking heads and yelling is over! Lord You have given us a two- fold antidote for these evil times- Divine Mercy and the Flame of Love! You demand deeds of mercy as You have told St. Faustina! And You are pleading for us in these times not to look to earthly solutions but to the Immaculate Heart of May and to prayer, sacrifice, and repentance for those we love and for those who need You in their lives! Let us together Lord blind Satan with the loving prayers and sacrifices of the Flame of Love Grace! Let it be our way of life in these times to save souls because we love!

Healing Mass- The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

Healing Mass

The sweet Savior filled my soul with such an attraction for His sacred Body and Precious Blood that for weeks I could only meditate on the Eucharist. It was His desire that He and I penetrate deeply into these inexhaustibly profound words: “He who eats My Body and drinks My Blood remains in Me and I in Him.” (Elizabeth) (July 20, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Jesus spoke to the crowds about the kingdom of God, and he healed those who needed to be cured. (Luke 9)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we meditate in a special way on the Eucharist. As we read the Gospel of Luke today, the beginning stands out to me because I see the Mass hidden in it. First we learn in the Liturgy of the Word about Your Kingdom. Then in the Liturgy of the Eucharist You come to us to heal us- yes the Eucharist is truly a healing sacrament. Lord You know we need healing today! You come to heal everything inside of us and to forgive us and change us into Yourself! Every Mass is a healing Mass! O Lord, let us come to You well disposed to receive the Bread of Life, Your Flesh given for the life of the world- we are so unworthy but only say the Word and our souls will be healed!

Don’t Worry Be Happy

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of the Eleventh Week of Ordinary Time

Don’t Worry Be Happy!

“I am guiding you, and if you worry, I might get the idea you are not happy with Me.” (Jesus) (March 24, 1963 )

Today’s Readings: Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. (Matthew 6)

Prayer Meditation- Worry, fear anxiety- they rob us of our peace! And yet we cannot add a single minute to our day! A quote attributed to St. Francis de Sales who struggled with scrupulosity and anxiety says it well- God commands us to pray but He forbids you to worry! Lord, You are our peace- let us bring everything to You in prayer with praise and thanksgiving (Philippians 4). Jesus we trust in You!
