At Your Command
“It is of little importance to Me what you can do on a certain day or who much
you can accomplish, only do not take a break, because that would cause Me great
sorrow.” (Jesus) (February 20, 1964))
Today’s Readings: “Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch.” Simon said in reply, “Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing, but at your command I will lower the nets.” (Luke 5)
Prayer Meditation- Lord some days it can feel like we have been working all day and all night and have absolutely nothing to show for it. No matter our vocation or state in life- the wear and tear of day to day living and our efforts to stay afloat and just tread water can make us feel like all we want to do is take a break and rest. But Lord, You ask us to keep going, to put out into the deep and lower our nets- to keep trying even when we want to give up! And it is amazing it is just at those times when we obey that You multiply the little we have left causing those nets to overflow with Your abundance so that like Peter we can fulfill the mission You have for us! May our humble prayer be Your Command, Fiat!
