Ask In His Name
Jesus: “Cannot I work a miracle?”” But I am not worthy, Lord.” Jesus: “Nevertheless, I will work a miracle. I will so bless the problem which seems impossible that all will be straightened out.” (Jesus/Elizabeth) (August 3, 1962)
Today’s Readings: Jesus said to his disciples: “Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. (John 16)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, how often are we so reluctant to ask in Your Name. You have promised us, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7). We are so afraid to step out in faith- we don’t believe really that You still perform miracles or we have some false sense of unworthiness which does not honor You as Our Father. Lord let us come boldly to the throne of Grace (Hebrews 4:16) and ask for our needs- temporal and spiritual, with the faith and trust of a little child who trusts that You want only good for us and will hear our prayers!
