of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Flame of Love

Michelle Guidry – South Regional Director

Lafayette, Louisiana is where I was born and has always been my home; it is where I have raised my family and is still home to many relatives. Now residing in Farmington, Arkansas, I continue to propagate the urgent message of the extraordinary signal grace of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Being raised in a Roman Catholic family in South Louisiana, is very special; Catholicism runs deep in our DNA as Cajun Catholics and we hold our Catholic traditions very close to our hearts.

The Baltimore Catechism teachings were part of our formation, such as receiving the Sacraments frequently, attending Holy Mass and the daily recitation of the Most Holy Rosary, which is still part of our family life.

Being educated in Catholic schools by holy priests and nuns, continuing with the tradition of catechetical ministry, plus the introduction to the Carmelite spirituality through my mother’s example as a Third Order, our family has handed on – from great grandparents on down – the beautiful Roman Catholic Faith to my children and grandchildren. Consecrating my family, through the 33-day Consecration to Jesus through His Mother, I take comfort knowing that our Blessed Mother has taken custody of us and will lead us safely home. This has been my primary role as mother and grandmother.

Always looking for new ways to peak other’s interests to know, love and serve Jesus Christ and to love His Blessed Mother, in 1987 in the Diocese of Lafayette, LA, we introduced a fresh look to the apostolate, The Children of Mary – a First Saturday devotion. This tender ministry helps to form the youth as future church leaders, spreading from the Louisiana Dioceses of Lafayette and Lake Charles. The fruits of this apostolate have been young men called to the priesthood and young women to the religious life. The Fatima devotion comes with a peace plan: prayer and penance. Inspired by the Children of Mary, a new ministry entitled The Baby Blue Army of Mary was established, helping grieving parents to pray through the loss of a child, by recognizing that their baby had a mission – to draw their parents closer to Holy God.

Many years ago, I learned of the message of the Divine Will – through the approved writings of Luisa Piccarreta, as presented by the now deceased, Fr. Robert Young. Through these teachings, I am learning (not yet mastered) to wait on the Lord in joyful anticipation and to live in the present moment, in His Divine Will. These teachings prepared me to receive the grace of the Flame of Love in years to come. In 2014, while listening to a new program on Radio Maria Catholic Radio, called the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, something deeply profound happened to me. During this program, I experienced a tremendous zeal for the beautiful Roman Catholic faith. After receiving this extraordinary signal grace, I became desirous to serve in the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as needed. Beginning in my home state of Louisiana and then throughout the Southern region of the United States, with the blessing and approval of two Louisiana bishops: Bishop Shelton J. Fabre, Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux and Bishop J. Douglas Deshotel, Diocese of Lafayette, as well as the cooperation of the many holy priests, the Flame of Love is spreading through the efforts of the many prayer warriors in retreats, conferences, church parish prayer cenacles, home cenacles, nursing homes, Zoom and Jitsi virtual prayer cenacles.

Being opened to where She leads, our Blessed Mother will enlighten us to the Divine Will of God, through Her burning Flame.
