Give Your YES This Lent to Our Lady

As a new Catholic convert in 2010, I didn’t yet grasp that I was stepping into a journey—the journey—of the soul. Though I had been baptized and had spent over a decade attending Sunday Mass with my husband and children, actively participating in the liturgy, I hadn’t reached a point of true surrender. I hadn’t fully reconciled that my life was no longer my own. It wasn’t until my Confirmation that I began to understand: I had been ransomed, purchased by the boundless love of Jesus Christ, so that through the gift of Baptism, I’m adopted—fully chosen—into His family. Looking back, I see that time of conversion as a kind of honeymoon phase, alive with the same vibrancy and excitement I felt in my marriage. How generous God is to reveal His life to us through the sacrament of Holy Matrimony.

Something truly striking occurred during the “honeymoon” phase of my conversion. While I was in adoration, basking in the newness of my faith, the Lord quietly spoke to my heart. He invited me to deepen my love for Him by turning to His Mother. I was kneeling in adoration, the Blessed Sacrament glowing softly before me, when a whisper brushed my heart: “Learn to love Me more.” How? I would plead… “go ask my Mother.”

Now, as a newbie Catholic, this threw me for a loop. Mary? I’d seen those pious folks clutching their rosaries, eyes misty with devotion, and—forgive me—I’d judged them. Out of ignorance, of course. I didn’t get it. So, I ignored that whisper for months. I was too busy savoring my shiny new sacramental life, fresh out of RCIA, and this nudge felt like a chore I didn’t sign up for. What did Jesus even want me to do with it?

Then, one day, while gazing at the Blessed Sacrament in adoration, I gave in with a quiet, simple “yes” .

That YES plunged me into something indescribable… it gave me a new perspective, another side of the God’s Merciful Love, which gave me another side of myself, my identity. My YES to Mary allowed me to look at the hard stuff, the ugly stuff in my life that needed maternal tenderness. Jesus knows we need a mother, and so the first place he wanted to take me was to Her. That single word, YES, has since transformed my entire life. Why? Because God’s plan can unfold in our souls when we surrender our will. Who better to give everything to than the one who gave us everything!

This quiet whispering YES started small with the Pilgrim Queen Visits. Picture this: Our Lady of Guadalupe home shrine (we also have a Flame of Love Traveling Queen), coming to our house each month like a royal guest. My family gathered—awkwardly at first—rosaries in hand, praying to honor Jesus and His Mother. Those visits lit a spark in our domestic church, warming our hearts to something bigger. But the real game-changer? Marian Consecration. That same day I whispered my yes in adoration, Jesus made it crystal clear: This is what I want for you. Not just a casual nod to Mary, but a full-on, heart-in-hands surrender.

Marian Consecration cracked me open. It wasn’t easy. In fact it took me three years—three years!—of wrestling, praying, and leaning into Her before I could hand over everything, my marriage, my children, my life. It taught me to love more sacrificially then ever before. Giving Mary my hurts and battles allowed me to give without counting the cost. I knew that now, my meager offerings were mighty in the hands of Mother Mary and i wanted to do more and more to serve and “offer it up”.

All this is not just reserved for me, Mary is your Mother too! Mary is the Mother of all humanity and as the dispenser of grace, all people of goodwill may consecrate their lives to Mary, just as all are invite to receive the Flame of Love!

“Our entire perfection consists in being conformed, united and consecrated to Jesus Christ. Hence the most perfect of all devotions is undoubtedly that which conforms, unites and consecrates us most perfectly to Jesus Christ. Now, since Mary is of all creatures the one most conformed to Jesus Christ, it follows that among all devotions that which most consecrates and conforms a soul to our Lord is devotion to Mary, his Holy Mother, and that the more a soul is consecrated to her the more it will be consecrated to Jesus Christ.” St Louis de Montfort

Following Marian Consecration, I received the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. If Marian Consecration was the door, this was the fire inside! It’s Jesus Himself, blazing out from Mary’s heart, a gift so simple yet so torrential as it’s meant for every soul—Baptized or not. She obtained this grace to blind Satan, to pull hearts back to her Son, to knit us all together. It’s not complicated, but it’s everything. Grace helps us desire virtue and to love one another with family or familial love as children of God. This level of love will magnify the urgency in a soul to spread the Flame of Love even more! Constantly invoking Mary’s Maternal Flame into everyone and everything, spreading it heart to heart.

Anthony Mullen, First US National Coordinator of the Flame of Love IHM and founder of Children of the Father, writes;

“The reality is that we regularly fail to see our dear Lord in each person, especially those who are different or whom we do not connect with, or those who have traits which turn us off or displease us. But Charity is the essential Virtue, it is the whole key to the spiritual life and the transforming union we seek!”

Anthony was an international advocate of Marion Consecration and his foundation was instrumental in leading not thousands, but over a million souls to Jesus through Mary! Unfortunately, his website is no longer active, but I encourage you to read his blog. I often consult his writing and ask his intercession for us, may he rest in peace.

Through Marian Consecration and the Flame of Love IHM we ask Mary to extinguish sin and darkness from our lives and that’s exactly what She does! On March 25th,  Holy Mother Church honors Our Lady’s YES on the Solemnity of the Annunciation of Our Lord. This solemnity is perfectly placed at the half way point of Lent this year and I can’t help but think that this echoes consolation right from Mary’s heart, saying YES… KEEP GOING TOWARDS MY SON. And so, I say yes again and invite you this Lent to join me and many others on this journey of Marian Consecration through the method of St. Louis de Montfort and Elizabeth Kindelmann. FIAT!

Thank you for your dedication in spreading the Flame of Love Immaculate Heart of Mary. Praying for and with you all.

SET ABLAZE the FULLNESS of GRACE!

THIS LENT, JOIN US for TOTAL CONSECRATION to MARY

SET ABLAZE the FULLNESS of GRACE!

Starting March 11th and ending on Palm Sunday, April 13th –Anniversary date that Elizabeth Kindelmann was given the Flame of Love

As Lent approaches, we invite you to TOTAL CONSECRATION to Jesus through Mary in the Flame of Love—a perfect renewal of our Baptismal vows. Accompanied by St. Louis de Montfort’s “Total Consecration,” we walk with Elizabeth Kindelmann as we witness her journey toward spiritual maturity. Marian Consecration and the Flame of Love are intertwined because consecration gives Mother Mary our fiat to form Christ, within us. The Flame of Love, Jesus coming from Her Immaculate Heart, blinds satan and brings the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart.

This is Heaven’s gift. Are you ready to receive it?

Join us for a transformative 33-day TOTAL CONSECRATION to Jesus through Mary in the Flame of Love from March 11th to April 13th (Palm Sunday, the anniversary of Elizabeth Kindelmann receiving the Flame of Love). This promises to be unlike any other, SETTING ABLAZE the FULLNESS OF GRACE within us.

“As all perfection consists in our being conformed, united and consecrated to Jesus, it naturally follows that the most perfect of all devotions is that which conforms, unites and consecrates us most completely to Jesus.  Now of all God’s creatures, Mary is the most conformed to Jesus.  It therefore follows that of all devotions, devotion to her makes for the most effective consecration and conformity to Him.  The more one is consecrated to Mary, the more one is consecrated to Jesus.  That is why perfect consecration to Jesus is but a perfect and complete consecration of oneself to the Blessed Virgin, which is the devotion I teach; or in other words, it is the perfect renewal of the vows and promises of Holy Baptism.” St. Louis de Montfort

Together, let us embrace these Flame of Love practices this Lent, it will water the soil of our hearts so it may grow and bear fruit toward a stronger and loving relationship with Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother.

In the Spiritual Diary of Elizabeth Kindlemann, Jesus and Mary teach us how to amend our lives through reparation and of course, a lot of grace!

Perhaps you are just learning about the Flame of Love, or you have not yet put into practice some of the devotional elements. Lent is the perfect time to fan the Flame and incorporate these practices.

Flame of Love Devotional Practices and Prayers:

1. Memorize the Unity Prayer and pray it throughout the day.

Jesus said, “Through this prayer, Satan will be blind and souls will not be led into sin.

Page 25 of the Full Diary

The Unity Prayer illuminates the path to Calvary. Praying it, we unite with Jesus and share His cross. Let us learn this prayer that allows us to blind Satan and save souls.

2. Enter into the Weekly Agenda

Jesus: “My daughter, I’m now going to specify how each day of the week should be allocated. . . . Come, if you have time. If you have plenty of it, tell Me. The decision is yours. I respect your free will completely. You flatter Me if you abandon it spontaneously to Me.

Page 24 Full Diary

Have you considered how you spend your days in light of Jesus and Mary’s call in the diary? Now is the perfect time to start! Even small steps, like dedicating one day a week, can make a difference

3. Pray with others in a Cenacle of Reparation

There are many opportunities to join us in prayer during Lent and the entire year. We have on-line virtual prayer groups and in-person groups though out the entire world! When we come together to pray, Mary pours out Her Flame of Love Graces over all of humanity and satan is blinded.

Find a Cenacle that you can attend during Lent.

Join Us for our Monthly National Cenacle.

4. Pray a Night Vigil in the Perpetual Vigil Room

A night prayer vigil can be offered for 5 minutes or 5 hours! Some people set their alarms to wake in the night, others awaken on their own. There is no right or wrong way to pray in a night vigil. All that is needed is our desire to do so for the sake of love.

Pray for guidance on how to offer your Lenten sacrifices. Ask for the grace to discern what you can do in your current circumstances. If you’re thinking about fasting, the Weekly Agenda can offer helpful suggestions.

2025 Global Theme is Announced

International Director Announces 2025 Theme…

As I write, most of you will have passed into 2025. Here in New York, we are still keeping vigil for the great Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God – an utterly astounding title. Yes, I never cease to be astounded by the first chapter of both the Gospel of Saint John and his first letter. The depth of love, of condescension, of humility is incomprehensible.

This love is so poignantly portrayed in Saint Paul’s words to Timothy when he tells is that God “desires all men to be saved.” (I Timothy 2:4) Yet we know that, like the Pharisees in Luke 7:30, man in his freedom can frustrate the plan of God since, for love to be perfect, it must be free.

And this same poignant and powerful proclamation of love is echoed in the heart and cry of our Blessed Mother in the first words she speaks when she gives the Flame of Love of her Immaculate Heart for the first time on April 13, 1962 and which provides our theme for this new year: “There is so much sin in the country. Help me to save it!” Yes, “HELP ME SAVE THE COUNTRY!”

I hear this cry in my ears every morning when I awaken. Each night, I need to answer Jesus: “Take part in My redeeming work without ceasing. Don’t ask how. Desire that My Kingdom come for you and for every soul. When you go to retire for the night, look over your entire day: What have you done for the coming of My Kingdom?” April 20, 1962

My dearest brothers and sisters, we are compelled by this same love (II Cor 5:14). What a sublime calling! I feel very strongly and I know that Győző feels the same, that the most important thing we can do right now to answer our Blessed Mother’s call to “Help me save the country” is to ensure all of our people, all of our cenacles, understand the scope and the purpose of the Flame of Love – “Help me save the COUNTRY”.

If our people believe that the goal is to create prayer groups for a new prayer devotion or that the goal is to enhance our own spirituality, that is exactly what we will do and we will have a rapidly growing, spiritually powerful prayer devotion. That’s not “Help me save the country”. Please don’t misunderstand me. Our prayer cenacles are important and powerful. Our family cenacles are even more important but they are the matches and not the fire. They are the tools and not the goal. If we only focus on the tool, we will not achieve the goal.

Not everyone in the world will join a Flame of Love cenacle nor every person in the Church – there are many other jobs to be done in the Church besides participating in a Flame of Love cenacle. But everyone in the Church and in the world needs The Flame of Love! “You must strive for the blinding of Satan, which we will accomplish with the coordinated strength of the whole world.” November 27, 1963

When we all start pulling together in the same direction – through prayer, sacrifice, desire, and, where we can, labor for the Flame of Love to light in all hearts, (“So line up side by side, because the flame burning by hellish hatred will break on the power of sacrifice and prayer. The evil ones will be driven back more and more, their flame burning by hatred will go out, and the light of my Flame of Love will fill every part of the world.” December 6, 1964), then we can help our Blessed Mother “light in the entire country the flame full of grace, which I have given you from my Heart. This will be the miracle which catches fire and will blind Satan.” April 13, 1962.

So please help every one of our people in each one of your countries understand and work toward the goal – not just to pray, sacrifice, and desire that people join our prayer cenacles but to pray, sacrifice, and desire that the Flame of Love light in all hearts in our countries. With all our being, let us answer our Blessed Mother’s cry: “HELP ME SAVE THE COUNTRY!” That is our theme for 2025.

In case you find it helpful, I have posted the above portion of this email to https://www.flameoflove.info/posts/help-me-save-the-country/

JESUS LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER

“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.  Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

In 2024, we have been blessed by the tremendous growth of the Flame of Love IHM throughout the nation! As we approach Fall and begin considering events and materials for 2025, it has become clear that we have hit a critical need for donations.

Monsignor Ralph Chieffo, US Board President and former National Spiritual Advisor, encourages us to be cheerful givers as the Flame of Love IHM Movement ignites across the United States.

“I praise God the Father for sending us Jesus conceived in the womb of Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit.  This outpouring of divine love and mercy blesses us with the gift of salvation and a share in our divine call to be saints.  Living a sacramental life unites us to Christ and his Mother, the Church.  The gift we receive in his Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity is the gift we give to those hungering for meaning and purpose for their life.  Like our Blessed Mother, we can enkindle in others the Flame of Love, heart-to-heart.

Elizabeth Kindelmann discovered that when she prayed for God’s plan for her life, Jesus blessed her with his divine presence in the Eucharist to grace and guide her to grow in faith, hope and love. In adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, she developed trust in clergy and laity to believe that our Lord chose her to receive and promote the messages of the Flame of Love.”

Saint Paul encourages all disciples of Jesus Christ to rejoice in the Lord always and be a cheerful giver.  Only by offering to others the presence, power and peace flowing from the effects of the grace of the Flame of Love in our hearts can we be Missionary Disciples of Jesus and Mary.

As our membership grows, we need everyone to pray, share and financially support the rising cost of prayer cards, books and events to promote the Flame of Love.  Take time before the Blessed Sacrament to thank God for the blessings you have received and ask our Lord how you can spiritually and financially give back with a “cheerful spirit.”

“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.”

+++

The Flame of Love IHM Apostolate is World Wide and is 100% volunteer run! This is an incredible testimony of the Blessed Mother’s Cause for souls, as we witness the dedication of our leaders and all those who spread this great grace. The need for formation materials is mounting and our participation in larger National events is requested, yet extremely costly. If we want to continue to see the Flame of Love spread, we need your help and support. When you donate to the Flame of Love, you will ensure that this Flame continues to burn throughout our country by helping us to provide the resources for parishes and families.

What ever you can offer is greatly appreciated! If it is possible for you to offer a monthly donation, we humbly ask that you would consider this option. Having your committed support allows us to better plan for our future.

Please visit our DONATION page and THANK YOU for spreading the Flame of Love.

Dear Lord Jesus, everything that we have, was given to us from the abundance of Your Love so that we may share freely, never counting the cost. Thank you for taking care of us, Your little children, with great generosity. Amen.

Welcoming Mary Into Our Home

Submitted by Dr. Chris Wroe

Mary is a mother.  She gave birth to a son, Jesus.  Jesus entrusted John with the responsibility for her care at the foot of the cross.  Now, we are asked to welcome His mother into our homes and into our hearts as our Mother.  Like all mothers, she knows the joy and pain of motherhood.  We should never forget that Mary, “Queen of Heaven and Earth” is also our Heavenly Mother and feels our happiness and our pain.  As she says to Elizabeth Kindelmann, her suffering did not end with the death of Jesus, it continues for all her children (including you and me), whom she sees being deceived by Satan and whose souls could be lost forever.  Mary is our Mother, and she asks for our help.

Mary asks us, through Elizabeth, to help her to spread her “flame of love” throughout the world, starting in the home, family by family.  We cannot ignore the constant downgrading of the Christian model of ‘family’ with the growing acceptance within society for people living together without marrying; same gender unions; people having several sexual partners and loose definitions of morality.  In short, society is increasingly keen to embrace whatever form of relationship you decide will work best for you and reaffirms it is no-one else’s business.  In a world where belief in God is steadily declining how can we expect any moral code to be taken seriously that impinges on individual choice’?  Consequently, notions of ‘family’ and ‘morality’ are relentlessly under challenge, particularly in the more developed societies,

Mary is The Ark’.  She wants Elizabeth, and us, to join her in praying for all her children to know they do belong to a very special family, the family of God.  She mentions, with affection, Joseph, her husband, and tells Elizabeth to ask for his help every day.  She recalls how while he worked in the evening, she would be praying and invites Elizabeth to join them on their nightly walks – it speaks of her loving respect and devotion to her husband, parents to Jesus, “the Holy Family” in the gospel of Matthew.  Mary longs to protect us from the snares of Satan and this is why she is bestowing this wonderful grace of “the flame of love” upon her children, blinding the demons so they can be freed from the confusion and evil influences surrounding their choices to see God’s love for them and the true beauty of His creation for them.

Mary is on our side in the battle between good and evil that many fail to recognize is happening. She is ‘ The Ark’ we need to embrace, the bringer of ‘The Flame of Love’ (that is Jesus), to set our hearts on fire with love for God, our Father, when we see the greatness of His love for us.  Mary, Mother most loving, wants all of us, her children, to find our way ‘home’, to Heaven.  So, like the apostle John, let our hearts be ready to welcome the Mother of Jesus, our Lord and our God, in praise and thanksgiving.  Mary’s heart, bursting with love, is bringing Jesus into our world again!

THE HEZEKIAH PLAN

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

PROGRAMMING NOTE, I WROTE THIS TWO YEARS AGO WHEN MY HUSBAND WAS ABOUT TO HAVE INTENSIVE CANCER TREATMENT. HE IS NOW HOME WITH THE LORD- MIKE PRAY FOR US WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU!

The Hezekiah Plan- Just More Time Lord

When I heard in my heart the date when I would die and be among the blessed, I felt deep gratitude. To be freed from earth will be an unimaginable pleasure. (Elizabeth) (January 1, 1965)

Today’s Reading: Then the word of the LORD came to Isaiah: “Go, tell Hezekiah:
Thus says the LORD, the God of your father David:
I have heard your prayer and seen your tears.
I will heal you: in three days you shall go up to the LORD’s temple;
I will add fifteen years to your life.
I will rescue you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria;
I will be a shield to this city.”

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, this one is deeply personal for me and I think many others so everyone hold on tight! Not many of us will be given the grace given to Elizabeth Kindelmann or King Hezekiah to know how much time we have been given. And it is interesting to hear the contrast, Elizabeth was ready to live with You in paradise free from the Earth right here right now. King Hezekiah pleaded for more time. Very few of us are in the first camp and most are in the latter with King Hezekiah. Everybody wants to go to Heaven but nobody wants to go now!  So where am I going with this, some of those reading and praying may know, some of you may not, that my husband was diagnosed with multiple myeloma five years ago. When I learned of his diagnosis, of course like any wife I prayed but it was in Adoration that I prayed something pretty bold and very specific. I wanted the “Hezekiah Plan” if it was His Holy and Divine Will.  I actually used those words followed by Lord, please just more time. And we have had it, periods of intense treatment but so many blessings- trips to Florida, time with family and friends, but most importantly the realization that every day is a gift even if it is not guaranteed. We grew closer to You Lord including praying the Family Rosary every night! We never did that together before. We have learned what matters most and what matters least. Lord I look at the responsorial psalm- “Those live whom the LORD protects;
yours is the life of my spirit. You have given me health and life.” Lord we have had Your protecting Hand every step of the way. Lord I know there are many who read these little devotionals each day who I do not know- who are walking through the valley right now of cancer or some other serious disease or any number of really hard things including depression, loneliness of old age, children off course, job and economic issues. And we cry and we plead and we wonder if we are heard. And yet Your Plan is always perfect and You hold all of our tears in Your Mighty Right Hand and collect them in a bottle (Psalm 56). You do not miss a thing! So let us look forward always not to this life as beautiful as it is but come to You with empty hands  and deep gratitude as we fly to You always in Your Time and not ours!

Rest For Our Souls

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Fifteenth Week in Ordinary Time

Rest for Our Souls

As the night was falling, I went to the Lord Jesus to receive some rest for my soul. Suddenly, the Spirit of Love overwhelmed me with a feeling that caused me to tremble. (Elizabeth) (October 23-24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” (Matthew 11)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, it seems sometimes we just have nothing left. It is so tiring to keep trying to do it all in our own strength. Without You, we just run around in circles- it seems like life gets more and more exhausting. Lord, this is not the life You want us to be living! Lord, let us go to You for rest for our souls- even in the trials Your Yoke is easy and You never leave us abandoned if we would but abandon ourselves to You like a little drop in the Ocean of Your Mercy!

Revealed To The Childlike

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Bonaventure

Revealed to the Childlike

A mother is pleased to hear one of her children is recognized as being good. And you are my daughter, twice over.” (Mary) (November 19, 1962)

Today’s Readings: At that time Jesus exclaimed: “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. (Matthew 11)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we make things so complicated, even in the spiritual life. Sometimes I think especially in the spiritual life. Our pride can so easily get in the way. Lord, help us come to You as a little child- docile to Your Holy Spirit so that we can truly hear Your Voice! Empty us of ourselves in humble trust so that we can depend entirely on You as Your little children sitting contentedly in the lap of Our Mother filled each day with Your Peace and Your Joy! We can do nothing without You!

Standing Firm in Adversities

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha

Standing Firm in Adversities

Whoever serve Me, My little one, cannot be a reed bending in the wind. She must persevere firmly at My side with an unshakeable determination. Your soul cannot bow to anything that does not serve Me. Again, My little one, I ask that you persevere with Me. (Jesus) (February 4, 1963)

Today’s Readings: But within sixty years and five, Ephraim shall be crushed, no longer a nation. Unless your faith is firm you shall not be firm! (Isaiah 7)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, it can seem that so many things can come against us, things that make us like a reed bending in the wind. But what we fail to grasp is that these things too will pass- all things are passing, only You remain! (St. Teresa of Avila). Lord give us patient endurance so that we will stand firm and persevere at Your side where nothing will shake our peace!

The Cross of Difficult Trials

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Fifteenth Week of Ordinary Time

The Cross of Difficult Trials

Listen, my daughter, you are also the mother of a large family. Through your children you know all the pains and problems of a family. Many times you were close to falling beneath the cross of difficult trials, and you still experience many sorrows over your children. Bearing such ordeals is meritorious for you and for any mother. (Mary) (November 19, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to his Apostles: “Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one’s enemies will be those of his household. (Matthew 10)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, how many families today have conflict and today You promise us a sword- often our own “enemies” may be in our own household. Lord, You know all the pains and problems of a family and the sorrows that fill the hearts of so many mothers and fathers today over our children. The crosses of these difficult trials can threaten to overwhelm us and yet we know we do not carry our burdens alone! Lord, may our feet journey together as we take up our crosses confident that You will give us the rest we seek because Your yolk is easy and Your burden light! (Matthew 11). Mother Mary take us by the hand and place our families under Your Mantle so that the Flame of Love would be ignited in their hearts!

Sown Among Thorns

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Fifteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time

Sown Among Thorns

I spent the whole day filled with anxieties. At night, as I went to adore the Lord, I thought in the midst of my uncertainty: “My God, what is going on with me? Where have I allowed myself to be led? What is true? What is now in me or what was there before?” (Elizabeth) (March 4-7, 1962)

Today’s Readings: The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word,
but then worldly anxiety and the lure of riches choke the word
and it bears no fruit. (Matthew 13)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, here we are again with the Parable of the Sower. It was Your first parable so it is very important. The same Word proceeds from Your Mouth, not to return void but to achieve the end for which You sent it (Isaiah 55). Because You are the same yesterday, today and forever! (Hebrews 13). But how are we receiving it? I believe that at times in my life I have been the soil on the path not paying any attention to Your Word as well as  the rocky soil that wants to sing Hallelujah at hearing Your Word but cannot stand up to the scrutiny of the world, thus not letting anything take root, as I would return to whatever was popular at the time. That would be my younger years but what really describes many of us all too often, even followers of You Lord, is the third soil. So many of us, me included, are just too full of anxiety to let anything take root, especially these days with so much turmoil in the world. And I believe more than ever, we are presented with a choice because You need us all in right now! So, do we keep choosing to let the thorns in our gardens choke the Word in our hearts and just let our emotions and our fears  in these days take over?  Or do we allow You finally, no matter how painful this pruning may be, to rid us of these thorns and brambles so that we can produce the fruit You have intended us to produce from the beginning of time. You told Saint Faustina that the greatest obstacles to holiness are discouragement and exaggerated anxiety. So let us pray the prayer given to us by You which concludes the Divine Mercy Chaplet- Eternal God in who mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your Holy Will which is Love and Mercy itself!

Send Me, Send Me!

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Benedict, Abbot

Send Me, Send Me!

Our Lady said: “My little Carmelite, whatever the difficulty
confronting you, do not give up the fight. By virtue of my Flame of Love, which I now send
upon the earth, a new era of grace never known before begins on earth. Be my faithful
collaborator.” (Mary) (July 26, 1963)

Today’s Readings: He touched my mouth with it and said,
“See, now that this has touched your lips,
your wickedness is removed, your sin purged.”

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
“Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?”
“Here I am,” I said; “send me!” (Isaiah 6)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, so many of us when we heard about this great Grace cried eagerly, sign me up! Then as we work for You Lord, we realize that we have a great big target on our backs! Because if we are ready to serve You Lord, we are to be prepared for trials (Sirach 2). Yet, Lord every time we fall short, we can run to the Sacraments for healing and mercy and then strengthened get back out there crying Lord send me, broken earthen vessels that we are! (2 Corinthians 4:7) Mother Mary, be a Mama to us and keep us on track! Saint Benedict pray for us as we pray and work!

Healing Our Defections

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday of the Fourteenth Week of Ordinary Time

Healing Our Defections

A long time ago, you received from My merciful Heart the full possession of the love which forgives. I accept this profound repentance with which you prostrated yourself before Me for the sake of others, and I grant them My pardon.” (Jesus) (August 18, 1965)

Today’s Readings: I will heal their defection, says the LORD, I will love them freely; for my wrath is turned away from them. (Hosea 14)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, I am in awe of Your Healing Mercy which has covered our offenses! Lord, may we offer You profound repentance and may we possess in our hearts the only Love that can heal us! Lord, for those we love who are away from You, help us to stand with Mother Mary at the Cross, interceding for them that they may know Your Pardon and Peace!

Kingdom Living

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Fourteenth Week of Ordinary Time

Kingdom Living

“Take part unceasingly in My Work of Redemption. Do not ask how. Fervently desire the coming of My Kingdom for yourself and for all souls. When you rest at night, examine your day. What have you done for My Kingdom to arrive?  (Jesus) (April 20, 1962)

Today’s Reading:

As you go, make this proclamation:
‘The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
Cure the sick, raise the dead,
cleanse the lepers, drive out demons.
Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give. (Matthew 10)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord, You send us out yet we have all of our doubts and fears as if we are doing anything under our own power! You have given us everything we need to spread the Gospel- let us stop overthinking it and just do it! And if we cannot be active, even more importantly we can pray especially for the salvation of souls. Even the sick and the hospitalized can save souls by prayer and  acceptance of sacrifice. We can do all things through You who gives us strength!

Going To The Lost Sheep

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Fourteenth Week of Ordinary Time

Going to the Lost Sheep

My little one, I want that not one soul be damned. You should want
this together with me. For this purpose, I place in your hands a beam of light that is the Flame
of Love of my heart.’” (Mary) (January 15, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” (Matthew 10)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we know very well there are so many lost today. Faith is waning it seems- so many are lost in addictions, illness of all kinds, sin and despair. You have come so that we would have life abundant (John 10)- the Kingdom of Heaven starting here on Earth in our hearts. Not an earthly kingdom but the beginning of our union with You into eternity! Lord today You ask us to respond to this great Grace- the Flame of Love Grace through the Immaculate Heart of Mary! Lord we know that Her Immaculate Heart will triumph and that the Holy Spirit will renew the face of the Earth- may it begin right here and right now with us living for Your Kingdom even in and especially in our day to day lives as we offer our daily duty to save souls.

Never Abandoned

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Fourteenth Week of Ordinary Time

Never Abandoned

If all is true and authentic and if it is the Will of God, why must I live with such dark and troubled torments? (Elizabeth) (Spring 1971)

Today’s Readings: At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them
because they were troubled and abandoned,
like sheep without a shepherd. (Matthew 9)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You have never abandoned us and forsaken us- in fact Your Sacred Heart has been moved to pity for not only those of us who felt abandoned but also for those who are away from You during these tumultuous times- the unbelievers and those who do not yet know Your Love. Because the truth is the Fountain of Mercy is flowing more than ever in these times of Divine Mercy. That the graces of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary- the greatest grace since the Word Became Flesh is flowing to us as well and calling us and our loved ones into the Ark. And we can sit here feeling sorry for ourselves like Lot’s wife and lament what may not ever return in the same way or we can keep walking forward with our hand to the plow without looking back (Luke 9:62) because we trust in You even in and especially in the dark.

He is Faithful

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Fourteenth Week of Ordinary Time

He is Faithful

Patience, perseverance and fidelity keep you
close to me. You and the others will see what no human eye has
seen and no ear has heard. In heaven, we will see and hear as
one.” (Jesus) (April 6, 1964)

Today’s Readings:

I will espouse you to me forever:
I will espouse you in right and in justice,
in love and in mercy;
I will espouse you in fidelity,
and you shall know the LORD. (Hosea 2)

Prayer Meditation: Lord, how many of us have been like the reading from Hosea today. Sometimes it takes some time in the desert to understand how far we have wandered and how we have worshiped and followed false gods- money, career, prestige, material things, you name it. And yet, You call us always and You speak to our hearts and You never give up on us even when we are far from You! God You are always faithful even when we are faithless. (2 Timothy 2:13). Lord help us to grow in patience, perseverance, and fidelity as we come closer to You! Lord, may we stay close to You by persevering in faithfulness because You are always faithful. May we never run after anything false again!

Revealed to Little Ones- “Little One” Sunday

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Fourteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time

Revealed to Little Ones- “Little One” Sunday

Mary: “Do not be passive about my Sacred Cause. It will be through the few, the little ones, and the humble that must begin this great outpouring of graces that will shake the world. None of those called must excuse themselves or refuse my invitation. All of you are my little instruments.” (Mary) (December 2, 1963)

Today’s Readings: At that time Jesus exclaimed:
“I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
for although you have hidden these things
from the wise and the learned
you have revealed them to little ones.
Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. (Matthew 11)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, I am so thankful to You. Because not only is it Mary’s time but it is our time if we are the little ones. And who are we the little ones? We are the ones who pray and sacrifice- not in some big prideful way, but quietly, with each Rosary, each Holy Hour, each little form of fasting or self denial no matter how small, each choice  to walk and pray in unity with You as we do our duties rather than to worry and give in to anxiety! Our Mother is Mary- we are consecrated to You through Her! Our sisters are St. Therese and St. Faustina as well as Elizabeth Kindelmann- they reveal to us Your tender merciful Heart, the Heart of the Gospel for our times. We are the little saints under Mary’s Mantle and with Her we will crush the head of the evil one (St. Louis Marie de Montfort). We have all been called to Your fighting force and like Gideon’s little army we will shake the world even if we may not see it individually in our lifetimes. Because each choice to gather those five smooth stones (Bible, Fasting, Confession, Rosary, Mass) is one choice closer to the giants that seem so big right now crashing to the ground! Lord thank You that You have revealed Your Divine Will to the little ones and we are all little ones if we surrender to You in humble trust! So let us celebrate today- it is “little one”

Justice and Peace Shall Kiss

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of The Thirteenth Week of Ordinary Time- Fourth of July

Justice and Peace Shall Kiss

Perhaps the Evil One, disguised as an angel of light, wanted to disturb the peace which I had gained at such a great cost. (Elizabeth) (Diary Page 16)

Today’s Readings: Kindness and truth shall meet;
justice and peace shall kiss.
Truth shall spring out of the earth,
and justice shall look down from heaven. (Psalm 85)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we meditate in this tumultuous times, about how far we have wandered from You. It seems as though evil is having it’s day. And yet, in the first reading- we see the promise of restoration from the Book of AmosI will bring about the restoration of my people Israel;
they shall rebuild and inhabit their ruined cities.
Lord, if we but turn to You, You have promised that You will hear us and You will heal our land. Lord, we all need not only justice but kindness and peace in these times. Let us spend time as Your people on our knees praying for the restoration of our nation and the world as Our Lady has asked us again and again!.  Thank You Lord for the gifts You have bestowed on us- please bless us and keep us!

True Freedom

Dear Flame of Love Family,

This July, our hearts are filled with gratitude! What a gift to be both Catholic and American! As Americans, we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding… One Nation, Under God. We thank God for the men and women who had the courage to establish this great nation and for all those who have faithfully defended the freedoms we enjoy today. We continue to pray that the United States will always remain one nation under God, seeking His truth and living according to His holy will.

This Fourth of July also marks the beginning of my third year serving as your National Coordinator alongside my husband, Ken. Looking back, we are overwhelmed with hope and faith for what the Father has done through this movement, through all of you. The cenacles continue to form across our country, more parishes and priests and religious are embracing this gift, and from what we see, the victory is already taking place! Just as Our Lady promises, she continues to give her Flame from heart to heart, drawing her children ever closer to Jesus.

As I reflected on these anniversaries and the state of our country, one question continued to return to my heart:

What is true freedom?

Our nation celebrates independence, but the Gospel reveals something even greater. The world tells us that freedom is found in relying on ourselves. Jesus teaches that authentic freedom is found in becoming dependent upon the Father. The more we surrender our lives to Him, the freer we become. His grace breaks the chains of fear, pride, and sin, allowing us to live as His beloved sons and daughters, according to who He created us to be. Freedom can only be found in Jesus, and now he comes to us through the Immaculate Heart!

How fitting that Independence Day occurs during the Month of the Precious Blood. Oh be still my heart!

Jesus said to Elizabeth:

What an extraordinary invitation! Jesus desires to transform us and become one with Him. He asks us only to trust Him and allow Him to act.

I believe this is exactly why the Father has given us the Flame of Love for this moment in history. He entrusted this gift to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and she comes to us as our Mother, offering us her Flame. She pours the effect of grace of her Flame of Love into receptive hearts and faithfully authenticates this grace within each soul. In this way, she forms us as trusting children of the Father, leading us into an ever deeper union with Jesus. As we receive her gift and cooperate with this movement of grace, Satan is blinded, hearts are opened, families are renewed, and souls are drawn home to God.

Mary never asks us to keep this gift for ourselves. She asks us to pass her Flame from heart to heart. Make a declaration to spread this Flame! Invite someone to pray the Flame of Love Rosary. Begin a cenacle. Welcome the Pilgrim Virgin into you home. Share the Father’s gift with confidence, knowing that it is Mary who gives the grace, Mary who prepares each heart, and Mary who authenticates her Flame within every soul that welcomes it. We simply say “yes” and allow her to work through us.

As America begins its next 250 years, do we see ourselves, this country and the Flame of Love as a new beginning? Because we are and it is! My prayer is that we rediscover the source of true freedom. The renewal our nation longs for will not come through our own strength. It will come as more hearts become dependent upon God through the loving guidance of our Blessed Mother, who never ceases to lead her children to her Son.

May the Precious Blood of Jesus renew us this month. May Our Lady continue to ignite her Flame into countless hearts across our nation. And may each of us faithfully carry her Flame until every heart knows the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

We thank you and on behalf of the national apostolate we are sending our love and prayers through the Flame of Love of the IHM to you all. Happy 4th!

Blessed Are Those Who Have Not Seen

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Feast of Saint Thomas, Apostle

Blessed Are Those Who Have Not Seen

“Even now, adorable Jesus, I cannot grasp this miracle.’ (Elizabeth) (April 9, 1966)

Today’s Readings: Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” (John 20)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, if we are honest, we will admit we,even we who call ourselves faithful, have had our moments of doubt when it is hard to believe. It could be moments of grief or it could just be the weariness of life or fear as we get older. Lord, You do not turn away from us in those moments. Just as with St. Thomas You come to us and You admonish us to not be unbelieving but to believe. Lord, help us to know that we know that we know that You are there whether we “see” You or not! There is much we will not grasp this side of Heaven but may we be those who have not seen and have believed even when it is dark and difficult.

Paralyzed No More

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Thirteenth Week of Ordinary Time

Paralyzed No More

I am the sole Donor of blood in the whole world. Permeate yourself with My love, My almighty
love. Meditate on that now in the light of My holy brightness. Can’t you feel this Precious
Blood? My Precious Blood warms up and sets into motion the frozen, paralyzed energy of your
souls.” (Jesus) (January 16, 1964)

Today’s Reading: Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’
or to say, ‘Rise and walk’?
But that you may know that the Son of Man
has authority on earth to forgive sins”–
he then said to the paralytic,
“Rise, pick up your stretcher, and go home.” (Matthew 9)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we thank You for Your Word today and this Gospel Reading! Lord, we are all like this man in many ways. Yes, we may all struggle with physical infirmities in our lives but that is not the true paralysis. As a rehabilitation nurse I have been blessed to know many who may be broken in body but not in spirit. But the real paralysis Lord ,is the presence of sin in our lives- that is where we need healing! Lord call us to repentance and to the Sacrament of Reconciliation so that our frozen, paralyzed souls will be warmed and healed by Your Precious Blood!

Praying for Our Country

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Thirteenth Week in Ordinary Time

Praying for Our Country

“I grant to all the grace to see the results of their labors on behalf of my Flame of Love in each soul, in your country and in the entire world. You, who are laboring and making sacrifices for the prompt outpouring of my Flame of Love, you will see it.” (Mary) (Diary Page 286)

Today’s Readings: “Why do you recite my statutes, and profess my covenant with your mouth, Though you hate discipline and cast my words behind you?” (Psalm 50)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You know we live in a time where many just give You lip service. We say we are a Christian nation but in so many ways we are far from Your Laws. Independence does not mean license- more and more in this country it is that search for individual freedom rather than the common good that ties us up in chains just like today’s Gospel (Matthew 8). Lord how few of us are praying and making sacrifices for our families and for our nation and the world but we know if we have contrite and humble hearts You will hear us! Let us encourage each other to pray and never give up because the Immaculate Heart of Your Mother will triumph as we stand in the gap for so many who have turned away from You!

Why Are You Terrified

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Thirteenth Week in Ordinary Time

Why Are You Terrified

Jesus: “Tell Me, little sister, why do you consider yourself alone since I am the One leading you? Have no fear, I will not let go of you. Come, let us go together and let there be no other moment when you would feel alone.” (Jesus) (January 15, 1966)

Today’s Gospel: They came and woke him, saying,
“Lord, save us!  We are perishing!”
He said to them, “Why are you terrified, O you of little faith?”
Then he got up, rebuked the winds and the sea,
and there was great calm. (Matthew 8)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we all know there is much to be anxious or even terrified about these days. To the question You asked the Apostles we may feel like saying are You kidding Lord- have You seen the news? But the truth is, You not have only seen the news, You hold the future and for You being outside of time, You already know what happens. No need for You to follow some 24/7 news cycle. So really why are we so terrified- why is our faith so small when You are so big! Bigger than anything that may be happening in our world today and You are still in control! So let us have no fear- You will never let us go even when the waves, the winds, and the sea threaten to drown us. Let us have faith and trust that You will rebuke the winds and the sea even if it just in our own souls and with You there will be great calm always if we keep our eyes fixed on You!

Finishing The Race

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul

Finishing the Race

“Don’t forget, your principal missionary work will always be your own family. I could not entrust you with that before, because I did not want you to stop halfway. Your family is the point of departure for your mission. This work is not yet finished. Be interested principally in priestly vocations.” (Jesus) (August 28, 1962 )

Today’s Readings: I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. From now on the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but to all who have longed for his appearance. (2 Timothy 4)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today as we celebrate the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, we are reminded that no matter how much time we may have, our work is not yet finished! You do not want us to stop halfway- You have placed us in families, in workplaces, in communities- many mission fields without leaving home! Lord help us at the end of our time on Earth to pray with St. Paul and state that we have competed well and let us pray with St. Peter that You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God (Matthew 16) as You welcome us home!
