Give Your YES This Lent to Our Lady

As a new Catholic convert in 2010, I didn’t yet grasp that I was stepping into a journey—the journey—of the soul. Though I had been baptized and had spent over a decade attending Sunday Mass with my husband and children, actively participating in the liturgy, I hadn’t reached a point of true surrender. I hadn’t fully reconciled that my life was no longer my own. It wasn’t until my Confirmation that I began to understand: I had been ransomed, purchased by the boundless love of Jesus Christ, so that through the gift of Baptism, I’m adopted—fully chosen—into His family. Looking back, I see that time of conversion as a kind of honeymoon phase, alive with the same vibrancy and excitement I felt in my marriage. How generous God is to reveal His life to us through the sacrament of Holy Matrimony.

Something truly striking occurred during the “honeymoon” phase of my conversion. While I was in adoration, basking in the newness of my faith, the Lord quietly spoke to my heart. He invited me to deepen my love for Him by turning to His Mother. I was kneeling in adoration, the Blessed Sacrament glowing softly before me, when a whisper brushed my heart: “Learn to love Me more.” How? I would plead… “go ask my Mother.”

Now, as a newbie Catholic, this threw me for a loop. Mary? I’d seen those pious folks clutching their rosaries, eyes misty with devotion, and—forgive me—I’d judged them. Out of ignorance, of course. I didn’t get it. So, I ignored that whisper for months. I was too busy savoring my shiny new sacramental life, fresh out of RCIA, and this nudge felt like a chore I didn’t sign up for. What did Jesus even want me to do with it?

Then, one day, while gazing at the Blessed Sacrament in adoration, I gave in with a quiet, simple “yes” .

That YES plunged me into something indescribable… it gave me a new perspective, another side of the God’s Merciful Love, which gave me another side of myself, my identity. My YES to Mary allowed me to look at the hard stuff, the ugly stuff in my life that needed maternal tenderness. Jesus knows we need a mother, and so the first place he wanted to take me was to Her. That single word, YES, has since transformed my entire life. Why? Because God’s plan can unfold in our souls when we surrender our will. Who better to give everything to than the one who gave us everything!

This quiet whispering YES started small with the Pilgrim Queen Visits. Picture this: Our Lady of Guadalupe home shrine (we also have a Flame of Love Traveling Queen), coming to our house each month like a royal guest. My family gathered—awkwardly at first—rosaries in hand, praying to honor Jesus and His Mother. Those visits lit a spark in our domestic church, warming our hearts to something bigger. But the real game-changer? Marian Consecration. That same day I whispered my yes in adoration, Jesus made it crystal clear: This is what I want for you. Not just a casual nod to Mary, but a full-on, heart-in-hands surrender.

Marian Consecration cracked me open. It wasn’t easy. In fact it took me three years—three years!—of wrestling, praying, and leaning into Her before I could hand over everything, my marriage, my children, my life. It taught me to love more sacrificially then ever before. Giving Mary my hurts and battles allowed me to give without counting the cost. I knew that now, my meager offerings were mighty in the hands of Mother Mary and i wanted to do more and more to serve and “offer it up”.

All this is not just reserved for me, Mary is your Mother too! Mary is the Mother of all humanity and as the dispenser of grace, all people of goodwill may consecrate their lives to Mary, just as all are invite to receive the Flame of Love!

“Our entire perfection consists in being conformed, united and consecrated to Jesus Christ. Hence the most perfect of all devotions is undoubtedly that which conforms, unites and consecrates us most perfectly to Jesus Christ. Now, since Mary is of all creatures the one most conformed to Jesus Christ, it follows that among all devotions that which most consecrates and conforms a soul to our Lord is devotion to Mary, his Holy Mother, and that the more a soul is consecrated to her the more it will be consecrated to Jesus Christ.” St Louis de Montfort

Following Marian Consecration, I received the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. If Marian Consecration was the door, this was the fire inside! It’s Jesus Himself, blazing out from Mary’s heart, a gift so simple yet so torrential as it’s meant for every soul—Baptized or not. She obtained this grace to blind Satan, to pull hearts back to her Son, to knit us all together. It’s not complicated, but it’s everything. Grace helps us desire virtue and to love one another with family or familial love as children of God. This level of love will magnify the urgency in a soul to spread the Flame of Love even more! Constantly invoking Mary’s Maternal Flame into everyone and everything, spreading it heart to heart.

Anthony Mullen, First US National Coordinator of the Flame of Love IHM and founder of Children of the Father, writes;

“The reality is that we regularly fail to see our dear Lord in each person, especially those who are different or whom we do not connect with, or those who have traits which turn us off or displease us. But Charity is the essential Virtue, it is the whole key to the spiritual life and the transforming union we seek!”

Anthony was an international advocate of Marion Consecration and his foundation was instrumental in leading not thousands, but over a million souls to Jesus through Mary! Unfortunately, his website is no longer active, but I encourage you to read his blog. I often consult his writing and ask his intercession for us, may he rest in peace.

Through Marian Consecration and the Flame of Love IHM we ask Mary to extinguish sin and darkness from our lives and that’s exactly what She does! On March 25th,  Holy Mother Church honors Our Lady’s YES on the Solemnity of the Annunciation of Our Lord. This solemnity is perfectly placed at the half way point of Lent this year and I can’t help but think that this echoes consolation right from Mary’s heart, saying YES… KEEP GOING TOWARDS MY SON. And so, I say yes again and invite you this Lent to join me and many others on this journey of Marian Consecration through the method of St. Louis de Montfort and Elizabeth Kindelmann. FIAT!

Thank you for your dedication in spreading the Flame of Love Immaculate Heart of Mary. Praying for and with you all.

SET ABLAZE the FULLNESS of GRACE!

THIS LENT, JOIN US for TOTAL CONSECRATION to MARY

SET ABLAZE the FULLNESS of GRACE!

Starting March 11th and ending on Palm Sunday, April 13th –Anniversary date that Elizabeth Kindelmann was given the Flame of Love

As Lent approaches, we invite you to TOTAL CONSECRATION to Jesus through Mary in the Flame of Love—a perfect renewal of our Baptismal vows. Accompanied by St. Louis de Montfort’s “Total Consecration,” we walk with Elizabeth Kindelmann as we witness her journey toward spiritual maturity. Marian Consecration and the Flame of Love are intertwined because consecration gives Mother Mary our fiat to form Christ, within us. The Flame of Love, Jesus coming from Her Immaculate Heart, blinds satan and brings the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart.

This is Heaven’s gift. Are you ready to receive it?

Join us for a transformative 33-day TOTAL CONSECRATION to Jesus through Mary in the Flame of Love from March 11th to April 13th (Palm Sunday, the anniversary of Elizabeth Kindelmann receiving the Flame of Love). This promises to be unlike any other, SETTING ABLAZE the FULLNESS OF GRACE within us.

“As all perfection consists in our being conformed, united and consecrated to Jesus, it naturally follows that the most perfect of all devotions is that which conforms, unites and consecrates us most completely to Jesus.  Now of all God’s creatures, Mary is the most conformed to Jesus.  It therefore follows that of all devotions, devotion to her makes for the most effective consecration and conformity to Him.  The more one is consecrated to Mary, the more one is consecrated to Jesus.  That is why perfect consecration to Jesus is but a perfect and complete consecration of oneself to the Blessed Virgin, which is the devotion I teach; or in other words, it is the perfect renewal of the vows and promises of Holy Baptism.” St. Louis de Montfort

Together, let us embrace these Flame of Love practices this Lent, it will water the soil of our hearts so it may grow and bear fruit toward a stronger and loving relationship with Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother.

In the Spiritual Diary of Elizabeth Kindlemann, Jesus and Mary teach us how to amend our lives through reparation and of course, a lot of grace!

Perhaps you are just learning about the Flame of Love, or you have not yet put into practice some of the devotional elements. Lent is the perfect time to fan the Flame and incorporate these practices.

Flame of Love Devotional Practices and Prayers:

1. Memorize the Unity Prayer and pray it throughout the day.

Jesus said, “Through this prayer, Satan will be blind and souls will not be led into sin.

Page 25 of the Full Diary

The Unity Prayer illuminates the path to Calvary. Praying it, we unite with Jesus and share His cross. Let us learn this prayer that allows us to blind Satan and save souls.

2. Enter into the Weekly Agenda

Jesus: “My daughter, I’m now going to specify how each day of the week should be allocated. . . . Come, if you have time. If you have plenty of it, tell Me. The decision is yours. I respect your free will completely. You flatter Me if you abandon it spontaneously to Me.

Page 24 Full Diary

Have you considered how you spend your days in light of Jesus and Mary’s call in the diary? Now is the perfect time to start! Even small steps, like dedicating one day a week, can make a difference

3. Pray with others in a Cenacle of Reparation

There are many opportunities to join us in prayer during Lent and the entire year. We have on-line virtual prayer groups and in-person groups though out the entire world! When we come together to pray, Mary pours out Her Flame of Love Graces over all of humanity and satan is blinded.

Find a Cenacle that you can attend during Lent.

Join Us for our Monthly National Cenacle.

4. Pray a Night Vigil in the Perpetual Vigil Room

A night prayer vigil can be offered for 5 minutes or 5 hours! Some people set their alarms to wake in the night, others awaken on their own. There is no right or wrong way to pray in a night vigil. All that is needed is our desire to do so for the sake of love.

Pray for guidance on how to offer your Lenten sacrifices. Ask for the grace to discern what you can do in your current circumstances. If you’re thinking about fasting, the Weekly Agenda can offer helpful suggestions.

2025 Global Theme is Announced

International Director Announces 2025 Theme…

As I write, most of you will have passed into 2025. Here in New York, we are still keeping vigil for the great Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God – an utterly astounding title. Yes, I never cease to be astounded by the first chapter of both the Gospel of Saint John and his first letter. The depth of love, of condescension, of humility is incomprehensible.

This love is so poignantly portrayed in Saint Paul’s words to Timothy when he tells is that God “desires all men to be saved.” (I Timothy 2:4) Yet we know that, like the Pharisees in Luke 7:30, man in his freedom can frustrate the plan of God since, for love to be perfect, it must be free.

And this same poignant and powerful proclamation of love is echoed in the heart and cry of our Blessed Mother in the first words she speaks when she gives the Flame of Love of her Immaculate Heart for the first time on April 13, 1962 and which provides our theme for this new year: “There is so much sin in the country. Help me to save it!” Yes, “HELP ME SAVE THE COUNTRY!”

I hear this cry in my ears every morning when I awaken. Each night, I need to answer Jesus: “Take part in My redeeming work without ceasing. Don’t ask how. Desire that My Kingdom come for you and for every soul. When you go to retire for the night, look over your entire day: What have you done for the coming of My Kingdom?” April 20, 1962

My dearest brothers and sisters, we are compelled by this same love (II Cor 5:14). What a sublime calling! I feel very strongly and I know that Győző feels the same, that the most important thing we can do right now to answer our Blessed Mother’s call to “Help me save the country” is to ensure all of our people, all of our cenacles, understand the scope and the purpose of the Flame of Love – “Help me save the COUNTRY”.

If our people believe that the goal is to create prayer groups for a new prayer devotion or that the goal is to enhance our own spirituality, that is exactly what we will do and we will have a rapidly growing, spiritually powerful prayer devotion. That’s not “Help me save the country”. Please don’t misunderstand me. Our prayer cenacles are important and powerful. Our family cenacles are even more important but they are the matches and not the fire. They are the tools and not the goal. If we only focus on the tool, we will not achieve the goal.

Not everyone in the world will join a Flame of Love cenacle nor every person in the Church – there are many other jobs to be done in the Church besides participating in a Flame of Love cenacle. But everyone in the Church and in the world needs The Flame of Love! “You must strive for the blinding of Satan, which we will accomplish with the coordinated strength of the whole world.” November 27, 1963

When we all start pulling together in the same direction – through prayer, sacrifice, desire, and, where we can, labor for the Flame of Love to light in all hearts, (“So line up side by side, because the flame burning by hellish hatred will break on the power of sacrifice and prayer. The evil ones will be driven back more and more, their flame burning by hatred will go out, and the light of my Flame of Love will fill every part of the world.” December 6, 1964), then we can help our Blessed Mother “light in the entire country the flame full of grace, which I have given you from my Heart. This will be the miracle which catches fire and will blind Satan.” April 13, 1962.

So please help every one of our people in each one of your countries understand and work toward the goal – not just to pray, sacrifice, and desire that people join our prayer cenacles but to pray, sacrifice, and desire that the Flame of Love light in all hearts in our countries. With all our being, let us answer our Blessed Mother’s cry: “HELP ME SAVE THE COUNTRY!” That is our theme for 2025.

In case you find it helpful, I have posted the above portion of this email to https://www.flameoflove.info/posts/help-me-save-the-country/

JESUS LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER

“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.  Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

In 2024, we have been blessed by the tremendous growth of the Flame of Love IHM throughout the nation! As we approach Fall and begin considering events and materials for 2025, it has become clear that we have hit a critical need for donations.

Monsignor Ralph Chieffo, US Board President and former National Spiritual Advisor, encourages us to be cheerful givers as the Flame of Love IHM Movement ignites across the United States.

“I praise God the Father for sending us Jesus conceived in the womb of Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit.  This outpouring of divine love and mercy blesses us with the gift of salvation and a share in our divine call to be saints.  Living a sacramental life unites us to Christ and his Mother, the Church.  The gift we receive in his Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity is the gift we give to those hungering for meaning and purpose for their life.  Like our Blessed Mother, we can enkindle in others the Flame of Love, heart-to-heart.

Elizabeth Kindelmann discovered that when she prayed for God’s plan for her life, Jesus blessed her with his divine presence in the Eucharist to grace and guide her to grow in faith, hope and love. In adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, she developed trust in clergy and laity to believe that our Lord chose her to receive and promote the messages of the Flame of Love.”

Saint Paul encourages all disciples of Jesus Christ to rejoice in the Lord always and be a cheerful giver.  Only by offering to others the presence, power and peace flowing from the effects of the grace of the Flame of Love in our hearts can we be Missionary Disciples of Jesus and Mary.

As our membership grows, we need everyone to pray, share and financially support the rising cost of prayer cards, books and events to promote the Flame of Love.  Take time before the Blessed Sacrament to thank God for the blessings you have received and ask our Lord how you can spiritually and financially give back with a “cheerful spirit.”

“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.”

+++

The Flame of Love IHM Apostolate is World Wide and is 100% volunteer run! This is an incredible testimony of the Blessed Mother’s Cause for souls, as we witness the dedication of our leaders and all those who spread this great grace. The need for formation materials is mounting and our participation in larger National events is requested, yet extremely costly. If we want to continue to see the Flame of Love spread, we need your help and support. When you donate to the Flame of Love, you will ensure that this Flame continues to burn throughout our country by helping us to provide the resources for parishes and families.

What ever you can offer is greatly appreciated! If it is possible for you to offer a monthly donation, we humbly ask that you would consider this option. Having your committed support allows us to better plan for our future.

Please visit our DONATION page and THANK YOU for spreading the Flame of Love.

Dear Lord Jesus, everything that we have, was given to us from the abundance of Your Love so that we may share freely, never counting the cost. Thank you for taking care of us, Your little children, with great generosity. Amen.

Welcoming Mary Into Our Home

Submitted by Dr. Chris Wroe

Mary is a mother.  She gave birth to a son, Jesus.  Jesus entrusted John with the responsibility for her care at the foot of the cross.  Now, we are asked to welcome His mother into our homes and into our hearts as our Mother.  Like all mothers, she knows the joy and pain of motherhood.  We should never forget that Mary, “Queen of Heaven and Earth” is also our Heavenly Mother and feels our happiness and our pain.  As she says to Elizabeth Kindelmann, her suffering did not end with the death of Jesus, it continues for all her children (including you and me), whom she sees being deceived by Satan and whose souls could be lost forever.  Mary is our Mother, and she asks for our help.

Mary asks us, through Elizabeth, to help her to spread her “flame of love” throughout the world, starting in the home, family by family.  We cannot ignore the constant downgrading of the Christian model of ‘family’ with the growing acceptance within society for people living together without marrying; same gender unions; people having several sexual partners and loose definitions of morality.  In short, society is increasingly keen to embrace whatever form of relationship you decide will work best for you and reaffirms it is no-one else’s business.  In a world where belief in God is steadily declining how can we expect any moral code to be taken seriously that impinges on individual choice’?  Consequently, notions of ‘family’ and ‘morality’ are relentlessly under challenge, particularly in the more developed societies,

Mary is The Ark’.  She wants Elizabeth, and us, to join her in praying for all her children to know they do belong to a very special family, the family of God.  She mentions, with affection, Joseph, her husband, and tells Elizabeth to ask for his help every day.  She recalls how while he worked in the evening, she would be praying and invites Elizabeth to join them on their nightly walks – it speaks of her loving respect and devotion to her husband, parents to Jesus, “the Holy Family” in the gospel of Matthew.  Mary longs to protect us from the snares of Satan and this is why she is bestowing this wonderful grace of “the flame of love” upon her children, blinding the demons so they can be freed from the confusion and evil influences surrounding their choices to see God’s love for them and the true beauty of His creation for them.

Mary is on our side in the battle between good and evil that many fail to recognize is happening. She is ‘ The Ark’ we need to embrace, the bringer of ‘The Flame of Love’ (that is Jesus), to set our hearts on fire with love for God, our Father, when we see the greatness of His love for us.  Mary, Mother most loving, wants all of us, her children, to find our way ‘home’, to Heaven.  So, like the apostle John, let our hearts be ready to welcome the Mother of Jesus, our Lord and our God, in praise and thanksgiving.  Mary’s heart, bursting with love, is bringing Jesus into our world again!

TUESDAY, JUNE 16, 2026 – ELEVENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME

LOVE YOUR ENEMIES (MT 5:43-48)

Prayer:

Come, Holy Spirit. Make me perfect as the heavenly Father is perfect.

Imagination:

Picture Jesus asking the disciples to imitate the Father.

Context:.

Jesus continues his demands concerning goodness towards enemies. He contrasts his disciple with the pagans and demands a greater holiness. At the end, Jesus reveals his goal. He wants the disciple to be as perfect as the heavenly Father.

Gospel text: (Read slowly, possibly aloud)

Thoughts: (Read all. Ponder the ones that attract you.)

  1. Jesus leads you to the height of holiness.
  2. At this new height, Jesus asks you to love everyone and to exclude all hatred.
  3. He offers you the highest reward.  You will be a child of the heavenly Father.
  4. Look at how God acts.  He sends his sun and his rain on everyone, good or bad.
  5. Jesus wants you to act in every situation as the Father would act.

Affections. (When one touches your heart, use your own words.)

  • Jesus, lead me to the heights of holiness.
  • O Jesus, give me a new way to live.
  • Let your love cast out all my hatred. Make me a child of the heavenly Father.
  • I will shower my love, my blessings, my goods upon everyone.
  • You call me to be perfect as the Father. I will begin right now.  Walk with me, Jesus.
  • O Jesus, loving my friends is natural.  Even sinners do that.  Loving my enemies will be my new goal.

Resolutions: (Possibly you might want to make your own.)

+ I will let everyone into my heart this day.
+ I will remove my hatred and critical spirit.

Thought for the Day: (To recall your meditation.)

Forgiven

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Eleventh Week of Ordinary Time

Forgiven

“I always think of what I can give You. Once more, Lord, my Jesus, I give You my sins again and again, and the monotonous flow of tears from my heart imbued with graces. Please listen to me. This is the music of my heart and the only gift I can offer.” (Elizabeth) (April 15, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Have mercy on me, O God, in your goodness; in the greatness of your compassion wipe out my offense. Thoroughly wash me from my guilt and of my sin cleanse me. (Psalm 51)

Prayer Meditation- Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your Mercy and Compassion which are endless and inexhaustible. We thank You for Your Forgiveness freely given, a gift we cannot earn. Lord, You wait for us again and again in the tribunal of Mercy, the Confessional. Let us not ever be afraid to approach You with confidence and trust!

MONDAY, JUNE 15, 2026 – ELEVENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME

RELATIONSHIPS (MT 5-38-42)

Prayer:

Come, Holy Spirit. Teach me how to love as a disciple should.

Imagination:

Picture Jesus teaching kindness to his disciples.

Context:.

The Jewish law to take only “An eye for an eye” was actually merciful in Jesus’ time. It limited the amount of revenge. Jesus goes beyond this legal mercy. The disciple must respond with extreme thoughtfulness, hoping to lead his opponent to faith in Jesus.

Gospel text: (Read slowly, possibly aloud)

Thoughts: (Read all. Ponder the ones that attract you.)

  1. Jesus describes the new relationships in the Kingdom. If his disciples relate to others in this way, the Kingdom will spread quickly.
  2. Jesus asks his disciples not to retaliate. In this way violence will end and the gospel can be preached.
  3. Jesus asks the disciple to be patient, so others can see the Kingdom’s power.
  4. The disciple does not invoke the law. Let the person have both your tunic and cloak. He is probably in need.
  5. The disciple’s generosity in going “the second mile” witnesses to Jesus’ Kingdom.
  6. After experiencing the disciple’s charity, the person will listen to the message about the Kingdom.

Affections. (When one touches your heart, use your own words.)

  • O Jesus, change me. Make my heart like your heart.
  • Help me to bring everyone into your Kingdom, no matter what the cost!
  • Jesus, I will set aside my interests for your interests. I will forget myself for your gospel.
  • I will use every situation to bring the Kingdom to others.
  • Jesus, if I turn my back on no one, you will not turn your back on me.

Resolutions: (Possibly you might want to make your own.)

+ I will examine my relationships to others. Are they according to the Kingdom?
+ In my generosity, I will be a herald of the Kingdom.

Thought for the Day: (To recall your meditation.)

The Extra Smile

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

The Extra Smile

Suffer with a smile! Let no one know. Let no one see. This is a secret between the two of us. Only God grants this and I give it only to the souls who know how to endure ceaseless sufferings with a smile. (Jesus) (November 1-2 1965)

Today’s Readings: Should anyone press you into service for one mile, go with him for two miles. Give to the one who asks of you, and do not turn your back on one who wants to borrow (Matthew 5)

Prayer Meditation- Lord we are asked to do things all the time, so many demands on our time. It is so easy to shrink back and want to become protective of our time, talents, and treasure when so much is coming at us and we just feel exhausted. The fiat we want to give to You to glorify You in all things becomes a big no when it is our family, our co-workers, our clients who keep pulling on us. Lord help us to go not only the extra mile today but with an extra smile! Because it is in the offering of our daily duty in union with You that we pick up our crosses and follow You!

SUNDAY, JUNE 14, 2026 – ELEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

THE GOOD NEWS OF GOD’S REIGN (MT 9:36-10:8)

Prayer:

O Jesus, your goodness is everywhere.

Imagination:

Picture Jesus with his disciples, healing the crowds.

Context:.

The gospels are filled with Jesus compassion and power. Now, he extends that compassion to physical healings and to being a shepherd to the poor. Unable to do all by himself, he shares his powers with the twelve Apostles.

Gospel text: (Read slowly, possibly aloud)

Thoughts: (Read all. Ponder the ones that attract you.)

  1. Jesus is indefatigable.  He is everywhere – towns, villages, synagogues and street corners.  He does everything.  He heals. Raises from the dead. Expels demons.
  2. The gospel reveals His inner thoughts.  He is filled with compassion because the people are worn out.
  3. He will be their shepherd, taking up this difficult and thankless task.
  4. His heart conceives a new plan.  He will multiply this work by sharing his powers with the faithful apostles.
  5. Jesus first love is for Israel, his people.  The disciples must go there first.  Time is limited.
  6. They must preach his message, ‘The Kingdom of God is at hand.”  This alone prepares for his coming.
  7. He gives them the Kingdom’s powers – to heal and expel demons.

Affections. (When one touches your heart, use your own words.)

  • Jesus, you are everywhere.  You do all things.  You seek me out.  You speak in my heart.
  • You reveal your heart.  You are filled with compassion.  Every action is for my benefit.
  • You see me worn out.  You see me burdened. “ I will make you my sheep”, you say.
  • You have sent others for me.  You have given me a Church to preach your Kingdom and a Eucharistic table to nourish me.
  • You love your people.  You love those who are baptized and believe in you.
  • Your gifts are freely given and freely received.  Your abundance is everywhere.

Resolutions: (Possibly you might want to make your own.)

+ I will be aware that Jesus is everywhere.
+ I will think of his great love for me.

Thought for the Day: (To recall your meditation.)

Troubled And Abandoned

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Eleventh Sunday of Ordinary Time

Troubled and Abandoned

If all is true and authentic and if it is the Will of God, why must I live with such dark and troubled torments? (Elizabeth) (Spring 1971)

Today’s Readings: At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them
because they were troubled and abandoned,
like sheep without a shepherd. (Matthew 9)

Prayer Meditation- Troubled and abandoned. Lord, many of us have felt those two things inour lives. We may be feeling that way now. But Lord, You have never abandoned us and forsaken us- in fact Your Sacred Heart is moved to pity for not only those of us who felt abandoned but also for those who are away from You during these tumultuous times- the unbelievers and those who do not yet know Your Love. Because the truth is the Fountain of Mercy is flowing more than ever in these times of Divine Mercy. That the graces of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary- the greatest grace since the Word Became Flesh is flowing to us as well and calling us and our loved ones into the Ark. So ,raise us up on eagle’s wings as your dear possession (Exodus19) because You will never abandon us or forsake us because we are Your People, the flock You tend! (Psalm 100)

Prayer:

Come, Holy Ghost. Help me to search for the True Heart of the Temple.

Imagination:

Picture Mary and Joseph hurrying to look for Jesus.

Context:.

When Jesus was twelve years old, He, Mary and Joseph travelled with others to the temple in Jerusalem to celebrate the feast of Passover, a thanksgiving to God for His goodness and mercy.

Gospel text: (Read slowly, possibly aloud)

Thoughts: (Read all. Ponder the ones that attract you.)

  1. In obedience, Jesus, Mary and Joseph kept the laws of their faith in celebrating the Passover at the temple in Jerusalem.
  2. This required sacrifice, a long journey, and joining with others for safety in the caravan.
  3. In the Temple, the House of our Father, Jesus teaches all who will listen that everything we think, say and do must be done for the Glory of the Father, especially bringing Him souls through the Merits of Jesus.
  4. Mary and Joseph suffered anxiety, grief, and sorrow when they could not find Jesus, but persevered in their search until He was found.
  5. They did not immediately understand Jesus’ actions, but Mary ‘kept these things in her heart’.  This is the heart which was joined to her Son’s, the heart which was obedient to the Holy Spirit in all things, even without understanding.
  6. Jesus returned home with Mary and Joseph in obedience and love.

Affections. (When one touches your heart, use your own words.)

  • O Mary, to what temple am I travelling in haste? God’s or the world’s?
  • What am I searching for there? What have I lost that I hope to find?
  • Am I hoping to find a temple filled with success, honors, friends, money?
  • Am I hoping to find the true temple, filled with grace, mercy, hope, love?
  • O Mary, Jesus knew that He wanted to be in His Father’s house. You lived your life in the house of obedience and fidelity to the Father and the Holy Spirit.
  • Mary’s heart held the Spirit of her Son – in quiet contemplation, in sorrows, in joys, in obedience.  May my heart take courage and strength from hers.

Resolutions: (Possibly you might want to make your own.)

+ I will ask Mary to give me her heart so that I can find her Son, Jesus.
+ I will search the temple of my heart to look for the true Treasure of Grace.
+ When I find the Heart of the Temple, I will not leave.

Say What You Mean and Mean What You Say

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of the Tenth Week of Ordinary Time

Say What You Mean and Mean What You Say Live humbly. Live the hidden contemplative life in union with Me. Refrain your tongue and be on guard not to say unneeded words. (Jesus) (April 10, 1962)

Today’s Readings:

Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ mean ‘No.’
Anything more is from the Evil One.” (Matthew 5)

Prayer Meditation: Lord sometimes we just run our mouth and say all kind of things we don’t mean- we care about what others think and not what is Your best for us! Lord, help us to restrain our tongues and to turn from our “people pleasing” ways so that we can say yes to Your Will for us and no to all else that gets in the way!

FRIDAY, JUNE 12, 2026 – SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS

THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS (Mt 11:25-30)

Prayer:

O Jesus, help me to know the mysteries of the Kingdom.

Imagination:

Picture Jesus praising God for His disciples.

Context:.

Jesus has just reproached those towns that did not repent. Now, he looks at his disciples and sees that they have been faithful and that the Father has revealed the Kingdom to them.

Gospel text: (Read slowly, possibly aloud)

Thoughts: (Read all. Ponder the ones that attract you.)

  1. Jesus rejoices. He sees that the disciples are understanding the Kingdom.
  2. He credits his heavenly Father, who has revealed these mysteries to the little ones.
  3. The Father, himself, made this decision.
  4. The worldly wise and the prudent are excluded from the Father’s gift.
  5. Jesus Himself has the power to reveal even the Father himself.
  6. Jesus chooses only “the little ones” to see these mysteries.

Affections. (When one touches your heart, use your own words.)

  • Father, reveal to me the mysteries of the Kingdom.
  • I will treasure them and live by them.
  • O Father, my heart will be caught up with Jesus.
  • O Jesus, reveal the Father to me.
  • You will rejoice in me and I will be the first fruits of your work.
  • When I was wise and prudent, you could not do this.  Now, I am your little one.
  • O Jesus, all that is yours is to become mine.  What a mystery!

Resolutions: (Possibly you might want to make your own.)

+ I will find time for solitude, so Jesus can reveal the Father.
+ I will cherish my life with Jesus and the Father.

Thought for the Day: (To recall your meditation.)

Solemnity Day Special- Come Get Your Grace- 100% Free!

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Solemnity Of The Sacred Heart of Jesus- Solemnity Day Special- Come Get Your Grace- 100% Free!

Jesus: “Tomorrow is the Friday of the Sacred Heart. How I want to pour out My abundant graces on all of you! Ask much for everyone, not just for yourself. (Jesus) (July 2, 1962)

God sent his only Son into the world
so that we might have life through him.
In this is love:
not that we have loved God, but that he loved us
and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us,
we also must love one another.
No one has ever seen God.
Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us,
and his love is brought to perfection in us. (1 John 4).

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we love You, we bless You and we adore You because today is the day! The Solemnity of Your Sacred Heart! And how You want to pour out Your Abundant Graces. Because the fact of the matter is every day You offer a special “deal” if You will and that special deal is Grace and it is 100% free! O Lord, strengthened by Your Spirit You dwell in our hearts that we would be rooted and grounded in love! We can begin to comprehend not just in Heaven but right here, right now, what is the breadth and length and height and depth of Your Love that we would be filled with You! Let us ask for much and we will receive not only for ourselves but for everyone! Come Lord Jesus, we say Fiat to what You offer because Your Grace is always enough and it is always free!

THURSDAY, JUNE 11, 2026 – MEMORIAL OF SAINT BARNABAS, APOSTLE

ANGER (MT 5:20-26)

Prayer:

Come, Holy Spirit. Let your gentleness overcome my anger.

Imagination:

Picture Jesus teaching his disciples to reconcile.

Context:.

Jesus teaches a “greater goodness” which is demanded by the holiness of this new Kingdom. In this gospel, he compares the Old Testament teaching on anger and his new teaching. Jesus desires a oneness among his disciples by avoiding anger.

Gospel text: (Read slowly, possibly aloud)

Thoughts: (Read all. Ponder the ones that attract you.)

  1. Jesus raises the Old Law to a new level and invites the disciples to live at that new height.
  2. The law commanded only external compliance. Jesus’ Kingdom goes much deeper, into the disciples’ hearts.
  3. Jesus’ disciples must remove their inner anger. Then, violence will cease.
  4. He forbids angry words, so hatred has no hold.
  5. He even demands that the temple sacrifices be delayed until the disciples reconcile.
  6. Jesus gives new precedents and requires total selflessness.

Affections. (When one touches your heart, use your own words.)

  • Jesus, make me gentle.
  • Save me, O Lord, from the violent waters of anger. Bring me to the restful waters of your Spirit.
  • Even on the cross, you spoke no angry word. You were silent as a lamb going to the slaughter.
  • Release a river of peace, forgiveness and reconciliation within me.
  • Reconcile me to all of my family and friends.
  • O Jesus, I will drink deeply of your forgiveness.

Resolutions: (Possibly you might want to make your own.)

+ Today, I will forgive everyone who hurts me.
+ I will reconcile with my enemies wherever possible.

Thought for the Day: (To recall your meditation.)

Firmness of Heart

Memorial of Saint Barnabas

Firmness Of Heart

I was sick. For days, I could not pray because I was so weak. The great heat of this summer contributed to my fatigue. I could hardly walk. When I felt a little stronger, I firmly resolved to return to prayer at night. I asked Jesus, “My adored Jesus, give me strength.” (Elizabeth) (August 1, 1962)

Today’s Readings: In those days a great number who believed turned to the Lord.
The news about them reached the ears of the Church in Jerusalem,
and they sent Barnabas to go to Antioch.
When he arrived and saw the grace of God,
he rejoiced and encouraged them all
to remain faithful to the Lord in firmness of heart,
for he was a good man, filled with the Holy Spirit and faith. (Acts 11)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord today we bless You, we adore You and we glorify You and thank you for the witness of Saint Barnabas, the encourager, filled with the Holy Spirit and faith. He encourages us even today to remain faithful to You in firmness of heart. Because it is easy to be faithful when all is well but to remain faithful in fatigue, illness, worry, strife, or whatever our circumstances are is where the rubber meets the road. Constancy, never wavering or giving in to our moods or our passions- seems almost impossible. But in Your Word in Psalm 112 you tell us

 For the righteous will never be moved;
he will be remembered for ever.
He is not afraid of evil tidings;
his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.
His heart is steady, he will not be afraid.

Lord help us to be faithful because You are always faithful (2 Timothy 2:13) no matter our inconstancy. Jesus we trust in You!

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10, 2026 – TENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME

THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS (MT 5:17-20)

Prayer:

Come, Holy Spirit. Make me great in Jesus’ Kingdom.

Imagination:

Picture Jesus teaching his disciples about following the Law and the Prophets.

Context:.

“Law and prophets” means the whole Old Testament. Jesus wants his Church to retain these books and teach them to his disciples. At the same time, these books are not God’s final word or his greatest gift because Jesus “fulfills” these laws and prophetic words.

Gospel text: (Read slowly, possibly aloud)

Thoughts: (Read all. Ponder the ones that attract you.)

  1. Jesus makes us God’s children.
  2. The disciple must keep God’s word in the law and the prophets.
  3. They must, also, teach others to live by God’s word.
  4. Then, they will be great in the Kingdom. They will be both doers and teachers.
  5. As disciples, they must go beyond the limited goodness of the scribes and Pharisees.
  6. Their tasks are heavy but their reward is great. They will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Affections. (When one touches your heart, use your own words.)

  • O Jesus, you have made me a child of the Father.
  • Train me in your word, O Lord. Plant your truth in my heart.
  • Let your word be a lamp for my feet and a guide for my path.
  • Give me a zeal to instruct others in your word.
  • May your power make me a doer of your word.
  • You call me to be great in the Kingdom.  I cherish your invitation.

Resolutions: (Possibly you might want to make your own.)

+ I will examine where I do not keep God’s law.
+ I will read the Old Testament to see God’s words to Israel.

Thought for the Day: (To recall your meditation.)

Consuming Fire

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Tenth Week of Ordinary Time

Consuming Fire

While saying this, Jesus
quenched in my heart the thirst for souls and He poured the fire of His burning charity over me
in the greatest measure. (Elizabeth) (July 20, 1965)

Today’s Readings: The LORD’s fire came down
and consumed the burnt offering, wood, stones, and dust,
and it lapped up the water in the trench.
Seeing this, all the people fell prostrate and said,
“The LORD is God! The LORD is God!” (1 Kings 18)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, so many have turned like ancient Israel to false gods- idols of all kind. But these idols we have set up for ourselves will never move our stony hearts- only the fire of Your Love can melt away the walls we have built around ourselves! Lord, come down like fire and consume us with the Flame of your Love- let us pass it to others so that they may say too that The Lord is God!

TUESDAY, JUNE 9, 2026 – TENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME

SALT AND LIGHT (MT: 5-13-16)

Prayer:

Come, Holy Spirit. Set me as a light on the lampstand.

Imagination:

Picture Jesus instructing his disciples.

Context:.

A disciple is someone who has made a decision to live totally for the Kingdom. In the gospels, Jesus explains what he expects of his disciples. The disciple must be salt, a power against food corrupting. He must also be a light, so men can see God’s goodness reflected in the disciple’s life.

Gospel text: (Read slowly, possibly aloud)

Thoughts: (Read all. Ponder the ones that attract you.)

  1. Jesus does not exaggerate the truth. His disciples will bless the whole world.
  2. Jesus warns his disciples. The salt can lose its flavor. The light can be kept hidden.
  3. When disciples cease to be disciples, the world trods them under foot. They are useless.
  4. By allowing God to change their hearts, the disciple can show the world what God’s power can do.
  5. All will glorify the heavenly Father for what he has accomplished in the disciple.
  6. Jesus’ plan is very successful. We should follow it more often.

Affections. (When one touches your heart, use your own words.)

  • Jesus, you call me to greatness in your Kingdom.
  • Give me your salt – a taste for devotion, and a desire for the Kingdom.
  • Let me be your candle, burning brightly and set on the highest place.
  • Jesus, change my life. Then, I will have good works that shine out to others.
  • O Father, all is for your glory!

Resolutions: (Possibly you might want to make your own.)

+ What must I do to foster personal devotion? What time should I find for prayer and spiritual reading?
+ I will try to bless others by my good works.

Thought for the Day: (To recall your meditation.)

This Little Light Of Mine

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Tenth Week in Ordinary Time

This Little Light of Mine

“Now, only beauty shines forth from you.
Although you feel the misery of your soul, others will not. The richness of My Divinity will
radiate from your soul and you will be able to distribute it to others. (Jesus) (June 12, 1966)

Today’s Readings: Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket;
it is set on a lampstand,
where it gives light to all in the house.
Just so, your light must shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, no matter what we feel we can be confident knowing that You have placed Your Light in us. Lord help us not to bury ourselves under a bushel basket- the basket of worries, responsibilities, fear, stress, and family concerns because anxiety extinguishes the Flame You have placed in our hearts! Let us journey with You in trust and surrender so that Your Light will radiate from our souls to others.

MONDAY, JUNE 8, 2026 – TENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME

THE FIRST FOUR BEATITUDES (Mt 5:1-12)

Prayer:

Come, Holy Spirit. Form my heart according to Jesus’ teaching.

Imagination:

Picture Jesus teaching the crowds.

Context:.

Jesus calls various groups “blessed”. However, anyone can choose to belong to these groups. A person can be poor in spirit, meek, mourning over the world’s sins, and hungering for justice. So, the door is open to everyone. In all four situations, the person is promised heaven (under different figures of speech).

Gospel text: (Read slowly, possibly aloud)

Thoughts: (Read all. Ponder the ones that attract you.)

  1. When Jesus speaks to the crowds, he invites them into the Kingdom.  Here, he speaks to disciples who are already members of his Kingdom.
  2. Because their hearts are set upon the Kingdom, they can understand Jesus’ teaching.
  3. A person is “Blessed” by being a member of the Kingdom.
  4. A person becomes a member by a personal decision to be poor in spirit, to mourn for the Kingdom, to be merciful, and to hunger for justice.
  5. If they persevere in these dispositions, they will receive the full reward of blessedness, an eternal kingdom.

Affections. (When one touches your heart, use your own words.)

  • O Jesus, you invite me into your Kingdom.
  • O Lord, I accept your offer.
  • Reveal to me the Kingdom’s secrets, so I can embrace them.
  • O Jesus, if I persevere in my decision, I will be blessed eternally.
  • Right now, I give you my heart, my choices, and all my decisions.
  • O Spirit of Jesus, form me.  Form me in poverty of spirit, meekness, sorrow for the Kingdom and mercy for all.

Resolutions: (Possibly you might want to make your own.)

+ I will allow these teachings to form my thinking.
+ I will rejoice that Jesus calls me “Blessed.”

Thought for the Day: (To recall your meditation.)

Poverty of Spirit

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Tenth Week in Ordinary Time

Poverty of Spirit

Shortly before this, however, my youngest boy got married. Now, I had to help him get a bedroom. So, I gave up the children’s room. I felt that the Lord was asking for this sacrifice, so I would be totally poor. (Elizabeth) (Diary Page 8)

Today’s Readings:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5)

Prayer Meditation: Like Elizabeth, Lord You call us to poverty of spirit. In detaching ourselves from the things of this world so that we can be filled with You. Lord You know how difficult and painful this process can be but You lovingly call us to fill the God sized holes in our souls with You and only You! Nothing compares to the glory of knowing You Lord!

SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2026 – THE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST

HIS BODY AND BLOOD (Jn 6:51-58)

Prayer:

O Jesus, make me hunger for You, the bread of Life.

Imagination:

Picture Jesus teaching to the crowds.

Context:.

These are among the most important verses in the New Testament because they provide a clear teaching on the Eucharist and its power to give eternal life. They are precious to Catholics, explicitly teaching that the Eucharist is Jesus’ body and blood.

Gospel text: (Read slowly, possibly aloud)

Thoughts: (Read all. Ponder the ones that attract you.)

  1. The words are strikingly clear.  This “bread from heaven” is Jesus’ flesh and blood.
  2. Jesus gives an unconditional promise. Whoever eats his flesh and drinks his blood has everlasting life.  Jesus will raise them up on the last day.
  3. Jesus also gives a warning.  Unless the person eats his flesh and drinks his blood they will have no life.
  4. Jesus explains.  By eating his body and drinking his blood, the person abides in Jesus, just as Jesus abides in the Father.
  5. Five times, Jesus teaches that His flesh and blood are the food come down from heaven and that whoever eats will live forever.
  6. The message is so important that his disciples remember that He taught this at Capernaum.

Affections. (When one touches your heart, use your own words.)

  • Jesus, the Eucharist is your flesh and blood, and I am invited to your table.
  • O Jesus, your food gives me eternal life.
  • You will raise me up.  Otherwise, I would perish forever.
  • Abide with me.  Live in me. Give me your life and I will live forever.
  • O Jesus, your words are serious.  If I do not eat this food, I will have no life with you.

Resolutions: (Possibly you might want to make your own.)

+ I will try to receive Eucharist every day.
+ I will cherish this sacrament as the food of eternal life.

Thought for the Day: (To recall your meditation.)

Fed With Manna

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ

Fed With Manna

The sweet Savior filled my soul with such an attraction for His Sacred Body and Precious Blood that for weeks I could only meditate on the Eucharist. It was His desire that He and I penetrate deeply into these inexhaustibly profound words: “He who eats My Body and drinks My Blood remains in Me and I in him.” I cannot describe what I experienced in my soul while I meditated. (Elizabeth) (Diary Page 56)

Today’s Readings: He therefore let you be afflicted with hunger,
and then fed you with manna,
a food unknown to you and your fathers,
in order to show you that not by bread alone does one live,
but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of the LORD. (Deuteronomy 8)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we praise You, we bless You and we adore You and we beg pardon for all that do not praise, bless, and adore You!! Because it is on meditating on The Word, as Elizabeth did on today’s Gospel, John 6, that we prepare our hearts to receive You fully! Lord we are all afflicted with hunger, our hearts are restless until they rest in You (St. Augustine), but today we give You nothing but thanksgiving for not only the Holy Communions of today but for all that are to come and for all that we have received in our lives- every single one a total gift of Yourself to strengthen us for the abundant life You have meant for each one of us in You! Lord we are not worthy, but only say the Word and our souls will be healed!
