An Urgent Call to Unite with Mary for the Salvation of Souls
This novena is recommended for personal, family, parish, and community prayer—especially for preparation of Feast Day ( Jan 23. – Feb. 2) and in times of spiritual trial, darkness, and division.
The Novena of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a transformational nine-day prayer journey drawn directly from the Spiritual Diary of Elizabeth Kindelmann.

How to Pray the Novena
Each day of the novena follows a the rhythm of prayer and reflection:
- Light a candle and make the Sign of the Cross five times in honor of the Five Wounds of Jesus.
- Offer intentions to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, including personal and communal needs.
- Pray an Act of Contrition in humility and repentance.
- Invoke the Holy Spirit: Come Holy Spirit, come by means of the power of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. (3x)
- Read the daily meditation, reflect on the questions provided, and pray the daily intention.
- Conclude with the suggested final prayers, including the Rosary using the Flame of Love Hail Mary.
Participants are encouraged to add small sacrifices—fasting, Mass attendance, adoration, or acts of charity—throughout the nine days.
Ways to Participate and Spread the Flame of Love.
The Novena of the Flame of Love is meant to be lived together—as individuals, families, prayer groups, and the wider Church.
Below are simple and accessible ways everyone can participate, wherever they are.
Pray the Novena Daily
- Commit to praying the novena each day for nine days, beginning with the lighting of a candle.
- Use the daily meditation and intention provided for that day.
- Add the Flame of Love petition to each Hail Mary.
Pray as a Family or Group
- Gather as a family, prayer group, or parish community.
- Take turns reading the daily meditation and reflection questions.
Offer a Daily Sacrifice
- Unite prayer with sacrifice: fasting, acts of charity, attending Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, or offering daily duties with love.
- Intentionally offer each sacrifice through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Share the Flame of Love
- Share the daily novena post on social media.
- Invite one person each day to pray with you.
- Encourage others to download the novena and join the prayer.
The Flame of Love is a movement of grace given by God through the Immaculate Heart of Mary for the entire world. Its primary effect is the blinding of Satan, preventing him from leading souls into sin. Our Lady asks that this Flame be spread from heart to heart through prayer, sacrifice, and fidelity to Christ. Through this novena, Our Lady urgently calls the faithful to unite with her Immaculate Heart to blind Satan, protect families, and cooperate in the saving of souls through prayer, sacrifice, and love.
